He also operated a ferry service between Marysville andenvirons for passengers and goods arriving on boats coming into Cleveland Bayous (now Lake Erie). By 1830, there were five stores including one licensed as a grocery store by Nathan Smith; two hotels; three sawmills; four churches; seven schools; two gristmills; four physicians; three shops which did business as livery stables or bicycle repair shops; twelve slaves who worked at various trades within the village limits On November 15, 1829 local residents formed a Village Committee to manage common affairs such as court appearances etc., but no action was taken until December 11 when David Dickson proposed that "a meeting be called to take such measures for ornamenting [the] village green as may be thought proper". On January 12th 1830 trustees made recommendations to the Village Committee concerning improving drainage ditches around town center so that water could not flow freely through some private property onto public land adjacent thereto ; allowing horses to graze on schoolchildren's commons ; adding lights along State Road 9 from Akron to Wooster ; erecting gates or fences around all public streets leading into or out of town - these proposals were approved unanimously In April 1830 trustees added cemetery services to their list of responsibilities when they voted not only To appropriate money ($5) from subscription fees collected by Mrs Ackerbach but also To erect fence around said cemetery - this proposal too received unanimous approval After concerns had been raised about increasing prostitution activities taking place within town limits due insufficient law enforcement efforts against prostitutes working outside of Town limits Village Council decided To create Police Department with five officers instead of just three - this proposal too received unanimous approval resulting in streetlights being put up around village boundaries effective July 1st 1830 . By 1840 there were twenty-four households with an average population sizeof 5 persons per household . There were six tavernkeepers serving customers inside village limits while another six served customers out beyond those boundaries . The few businesses open withinMarysVILLE during this time included: Blacksmith Shop operated by John Fenton (1827-30), bakery operated by Daniel Bowen (1830-34), post office opened March 14th 1830 by Elijah Webster (April 30th – May 4th), Livery stable operated by Nathan Smith starting October 1st 1830 under new management led by Solomon Weiser before finally becoming run jointly between merchants David Dickson(May 10th 1836 –November 15th 1840) & Isaac Bushnell(November 16th 1840-January 12rd 1830) later renamed George Washington Adams Hotel ); Picker’ Martin shoes factory established February 6th 1835.; wagon trade conducted through township using wagons drawn by teamsters throughout township selling goods bought at marketplaces located near villages . At its peak business activity duringJohnFenton's era totaled $4800 per month ..... In 1834, Cincinnatus Nelson opened a store at the corner of High Street and State Road which served as a key center for trade in the area. -In 1830, John Stephenson opened a sawmill on what is now known as High Street near where he lived with his family until his death in 1881. Stephenson built one of North America's earliest mills and later became famous for building the Erie Canal which connected Buffalo, New York to Cleveland, Ohio

On the northeast side of Marysville, Ohio is a small town that is known for its large spinning wheel known as the "Goudreau Wheel." The Goudreau Wheel was built in 1881 by Abram Goudreau and it has been in continuous use ever since. It is now a part of the National Museum of American History.
