The first shotgun in Marysville was the Winchester Model 1892. It was built in 1892 by American rifleman Samuel Winchester and it became one of the most popular shotguns of its time. The company continued to make shotguns until 1912.
Marysville, Ohio is a small town in the southern tip of Ohio. It is located on the Scioto River, about twenty miles south of Cleveland. The population was 2,746 at the 2000 census. Marysville is known for its Agriculture industry and its Hilltop Mansion which was built by George Washington in 1792. The first settlers to what is now Marysville were Methodists who came from Virginia in 1788. The town was founded on October 3, 1800, by brothers Isaac and Joseph Cook. They named their new settlement after a daughter of Colonel James Kipp and his wife Susannah Miller. Mrs. Miller’s family had come from Northumberland County, England some time before that. The town grew rapidly because it became the transportation center for local farmers and ranchers who shipped their products downriver to Cleveland and other cities along the Great Lakes region. In 1812, Marysville incorporated as a village under the name of Whitewater Village before changed back to Marysville in 1851 when it became part of Cuyahoga County." The Town Hall was built in 1907 with funds provided by John Dolan Sr., an organizer of the American Federation of Labor (AFL). In 1916, Jens Jensen donated land adjacent to his home on High Street for use aspheum Theatre which also served as City Hall until 1958 when it burned down. A new building was erected on that site in 1978 which still serves as City Hall today In 1969-1970 (the first decade since incorporation), local citizens funded construction of two state-of-the-art schools - Aquinas Catholic School (now Aquinas Middle School) and Stritch Lutheran School - both within two blocks of each other on High Street between Euclid Avenue and Park Avenue South (later renamed Euclid Avenue South). aquinas catholic school closed in 2003 but remains standing; stritch lutheran school ceased operations circa 2009 but remains standing as Stritch Elementary School now

The community of Marysville was founded in 1812 by twelve families from the town of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The first settlers were Methodist missionaries who arrived in 1813. The community grew rapidly and by 1830 there were over seventy-five residents. In 1837, the village was chartered as a Village of the Holyoke Colonization Society and became part of Holyoke County, Massachusetts. In 1850, the population had increased to 350 individuals and in 1860 it reached 1,500 people. In 1870, Marysville incorporated as a city with a population of 695 people. By 1900, the population had decreased to 363 individuals and by 1920 it had shrunk to just forty-eight residents.
