Mansfield, Ohio is known for its manufacturing plants and associated industries, such as agricultural products. The area was first settled by Indians in the 1800s, and businesses grew up around these activities. In 1907, a group of businessmen founded the Mansfield Manufacturing Company to produce scopes. This company became one of the largest telescope manufacturers in the world. Over time, other businesses have taken on major roles in Mansfield’s economy. These include a grocery store and meat market, a tire shop, and an auto dealership. Today, Mansfield is home to several thousand people who live and work in its neighborhoods. One of the biggest milestones in Mansfield’s history came when two groups of men decided to form a business partnership to produce telescopes. This partnership was called The Optical Society of America (OSA). OSA helped lay the groundwork for modern astronomy by creating standards for optics and engineering devices used in telescopes. OSA also issued patents that helped make telescope production more efficient and affordable. Additionally, OSAprovided support for amateur astronomers through education campaigns and exhibitions. Today, many people from Mansfield are still involved with their local community organizations or businesses. Here we will take a look at the different types of spotting scopes and some tips on how to become better at this activity. Types of Spotting Scopes There are three main types of spotting scopes: open-top, closed-top, and reflex sights. A reflex sight is an electronic device that helps you see target details while aiming the telescope. Open-top spotters use an open tube with a mirror on one end and a sighting system on the other, which allows you to view the object up close without having the mirror in your line of sight. Closed-top spotters use either a transmitting tube or an objective lensed onto a barrel that projects into your viewing area (see Figure 1). The advantage closed-tops have is that they allow for more flexibility when positioning the telescope so it can point directly at whatever you’re looking at. Additionally, some closed-tops feature adjustable magnification from 100x up to 4x as well as focusers for making adjustments very close up. Finally, reflex sights provide those long exposures needed for great photography with spotting scopes because they don’t require light amplification technology like telescopes do; instead, they rely solely on image capture using lenses located above or below the scope aperture (Figure 2). The name of the town comes from Mansfield Township, which was organized in 1814. Mansfield is one of six townships in Butler County and has a total area of just over square miles. According to the 2010 census, Mansfield has a total racial makeup that includes 95% white (non-Hispanic), 5% black or African American, 1% Native American/Alaskan Native, 2% Asian/Pacific Islander, and 0.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino residents make up 2%. As of 2000, there were 7 business districts in Mansfield with an average population size of 917 people per district: Acker Gas Station (1), Coca Cola Refreshment Center (2), Dine'n'Shop (3), Dunkin' Donuts (4), Golden Corral restaurant (5) and Harry's Pizza Place (6). All but two businesses have since closed down due to economic recessionary conditions that hit Mansfield hard during 2009-2010: The Acker Gas Station went out of business due to low prices on gasoline and other items while Dunkin' Donuts went out of business because they did not have enough inventory when demand increased for their food services after President Obama announced his stimulus package plan known as "Dumpster diving" which caused customers who made mistakes buying food without getting credit could be penalized by being thrown out with no refund or coupon good for any future purchase at those establishments plus interest charges totaling 26%. This event became known as "The Great Mormon Scandal".

The first settler in what is now Mansfield Township was John MansFIELD who arrived in 1810 from England with four others (John O'Hara, Nicholas Giannakis, Michael Collins and Timothy Haggerty) on an American Revolutionary War ship called "Eagle". They set up a cabin near what is now Market Street and built the first store in what is now downtown Mansfield on July 10th, 1811. The pioneer store had two floors: one for merchandise and one for storage space which still stands today on First Avenue between State Road 11 & 12A. In 1825, when Mansfield Township formed from parts of portage Township along with other township settlements (Laramie Springs/Niles/Plymouth/Centerville), it became known as Columbus because many people living there had emigrated from Great Britain to become farmers or mechanics during the early years of their country’s independence following British rule over North America; “Many persons residing within this township came over to this country during those earliest days [of freedom], before our great Revolution began” wrote Anthony Trollope some thirty years later while writing about Columbus Township settlers during his visit to that area in 1865-66″). In 1830 Township residents voted unanimously to change its name back to Cincinnati after becoming part of the new state of Ohio under General David Grant’s presidency; however they would not forget their roots here – Cincinnati remained an important cultural center for them until soon after they moved away beginning in1860″). Although much has changed since then including industry decline starting around World War II until recent revitalization efforts led by Mayor Tim Carpenter and City Councilmember Danica Kirka; there are some key constants such as strong community spirit which continues to be celebrated through numerous events throughout each year including Harvest Festivals bike rides & dog walking walks etc., continuing traditions dating back more than 200 years!
