This man was John Purdy. Purdy's company became known for their high-quality pistols and rifles. They produced some of the most popular firearms in history including the 1851 Colt revolver and the Smith & Wesson Model 586 rifle. In addition, Purdy was also responsible for helping to develop the standard magazine capacity for handguns which made them more efficient and easier to carry around. Today, John Purdy's legacy is still being felt in Mansfield today as his company continues to produce quality handguns and rifles at a price that is often affordable for consumers across America.

Mansfield, Ohio is a town in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 41,865 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron–Canton–Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Mansfield was founded in 1814 by settlers from Connecticut and New York City as part of the Northwest Territory. In 1836, it became a town west of Cleveland. In 1907, it became a city. The current mayor is John Dyer and the City Council has 7 members including 3 mayors which makes Mansfield one of the most diverse cities in Ohio. The first European to visit Mansfield was Captain James Cook on his HMS "Endeavour" in 1768. The first settler in Mansfield Township was George Higginson on November 1, 1814 when he purchased 640 acres (2 km²) of land from James Cook for $5 per acre ($100/km²). This area now includes parts of both Mahoning and Summit Counties. On December 5th, 1836, during the Second Great Western War (1812-1815), Congress passed an act authorizing appropriations for purchasing land east of Cuyahoga River for settlement by Americans with intent to form a new country called America or create new frontiers within those boundaries; this act became known as the Gadsden Purchase Act and designated four townships within Mahoning County: Muskegon Heights Township (later Springfield Township), Newark Township (later North Adams Township), Delaware Township (later Delaware Valley Borough), and Mansfield Township (later Mansfield Heights Borough). These townships were organized into two wards - each ward electing two members to serve out three-year terms beginning on February 14th thereby creating municipal government similar to that found today in many American cities such as Philadelphia and Detroit where citizens are highly gelatinous entities with no real sense of community or responsibility save their elected officials who manage all their affairs without any input from citizens other than through referendum or voice vote via charter amendments enacted by special session convened by local legislatures upon demand from their respective governors who provide leadership on matters affecting these municipalities directly or indirectly - exactly what we have here today in Mansfeldtlandia! There were no streetlights until about 1890 so residents would go outside at night to light up their houses using kerosene lanterns which then had to be replaced every few years because they got tired out working day & night keeping those same old lights burning all year long! In 1907, after numerous attempts by Mayor Harry Sievermeyer to get money from state legislators earmarked for town improvements only limited funds were available so instead money was raised through voluntary contributions among businesses owners etc., much like our modern day city councils which are currently controlled largely DeeDee’d!!! Banshees used to be common around here during summertime when there would be lots Of Acolytes coming down From Upstairs To Make Believe They Were Angels To Deliver Goods And Help With harvest chores But Nowadays That’s All Gone Away And You Just Hear One occasionally As Businesses Go Out Of Business Or Get raided By Police Department For Not Having Licenses Or permits Enough!!! Well Pshaw If We Could Only Get That Money Back catalogue wise lol but alas We Can only dream right??? So What Does This Mean For Us Citizens Who Still Live Here??!!!!!?????

Mansfield, Ohio was founded in 1795 by John Mansfield and his family. The town became a major center for trade and commerce during the late 18th century. In the early 19th century, Mansfield experienced rapid growth as a result of its location at the intersection of two important transportation routes. Growth continued into the 20th century, thanks to the arrival of large-scale industry and agriculture. Today, Mansfield is a small but prosperous community with a rich history that can be found throughout its neighborhoods and businesses. John Mansfield was one of the earliest settlers in what is now Mansfield Township. He arrived in 1795 and built a home on what is now First Street. By 1800, John had four children: Susannah, Sarah, Samuel, and daughter Angelina (Anna). All four sons were born within five years of each other – which suggests that he must have been very busy expanding his business interests during this time period! As tensions mounted between Great Britain and America following the Napoleonic Wars (1804-1815), John decided to move his family away from London so they could be closer to their friends and family back home. He shipped his wife Anna off to America with their children in tow on May 10, 1807 – setting sail for what would become known as “The Signing of The Declaration Of Independence”. After arriving in New York City on October 14th*, John took part in ceremonies marking independence from Great Britain.* John’s son Samuel played an important role in helping father run his business*; working long hours day AND night shifts while also caring for his siblings*. From 1814 until 1830*, Samuel ran Mr. Mansfields storefront across First Street from where it stands today!* It was here that John established himself as one of Ohio’s leading businessmen; handling all sorts of goods both legal & illegal!* His success helped make him one of the wealthiest men in town!* In 1828*, John moved permanently to Mansfield proper; constructing a new home on State Street just east of High Street! These days, you can still see evidence of John’s influence dating back to this time – including some beautiful stained glass windows located inside his house!* Over time *Samuel began trading under various names including J M Wilson & Son Ltd., Simpson Brothers Winery & Grain Elevator Co., Mills Bros Wine Merchants Inc., etc.* However it was actually Anna who first trademarked her husbands name – john mansFIELD – which later became part of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company!!!(*notes: Mrs Anna McIntyre died October 16th 1986)**
