The original Expand-on-Scope mounts were designed for use with rifles that had a 12.7" barrel. Lyndhurst was founded in 1810 by Nicholas Lyndhurst and his brother, Reverend George Lyndhurst. The town is named for Nicholas Lyndhurst, who donated the land on which it stands. The brothers built a log cabin and began to trade goods with the surrounding area. In 1812, they set up a store on the present-day corner of Main and High Streets. By 1830, the Lyndhursts had laid out a town square on their property and started to build homes. They also developed an industry; slate quarries were located in nearby Portsmouth and Westfield allowed merchants to bring in goods from all over the world. In 1834, the United States Congress passed the Mayflower Compact which helped establish American independence by pledging allegiance to Queen Victoria of England. In 1850, President Franklin D Roosevelt visited Lyndhurst while he was campaigning for reelection and Lincoln stopped at their store on Upper Main Street before continuing his campaign across Ohio. Upon his return to Washington D.C., Roosevelt ordered Federal Works Agency Director Kenney Wickersham to start construction on what would become FDR's White House in Hyde Park Corner). The First World War interrupted development of this important community; however, after that conflict ended many businesses reopened including those run by Nicholas' brothers Bishop & Father Ladd who operated a bakery until 1922 when they sold it to Mrs Ruth Lillywhite which continues as one of downtown's most popular tourist attractions today! The population reached 4,000 in 1920 but dropped below 2,000 within 25 years due largely to Prohibition-related problems that struck especially hard during prohibition times! However business revived during 1933/1934 when repeal occurred followed by efforts by local officials (Lloyd Jaffe) to provide essential services such as education, health care and social welfare despite financial obstacles caused by prohibitionism itself! Lynhurst experienced another period of prosperity during World War II with 3 large manufacturers coming through: Hapax Royce Friction Co.; Bethlehem Steel; and PPG Printing Presses Ltd., producing munitions for both sides! Unfortunately these prosperous times came to an end following Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941!! Afterward much hardship befell residents as production at key industries slowed or stopped completely as wartime production requirements changed beyond anything contemplated before Pearl Harbor!!! By 1945 there remained only 1 small company left manufacturing air defense missiles- Grumman Aircraft Corporation- making it possible for young people like me born after 1945 not too know about this important community’s past let alone contribute anything back
