Loveland, Ohio is a small town in the central-west region of the United States. It is located in Holmes County, about 25 miles northwest of Cleveland. The population was 3,746 at the 2000 census. The town was founded by John Day in 1837 as a trading post on the Loveland River. After four years, it became a town and was named for him. In 1849, Loveland became an organized township with a government that was based on the principle of self-government through local committees. On July 1, 1909, Loveland merged into the larger city of Cleveland. The first optical equipment in Loveland was an 8x10 inch telescope built by George Stephenson and installed at Green Grove Baptist Church in 1892. Over time, other equipment has been added to help astronomers study stars and planets; such as an 11x14 inch telescope (built 1913) used by astronomer Clyde Tombaugh during his famous search for Pluto; and a 16x20 inch telescope (built 1954) which is still used today by amateur astronomer Tom Friel

The town was founded on April 12, 1836, by General David Montgomery and his associates as a stop on their way to explore what would become Denver. By 1840, Loveland had reached a population of 100 residents and began to develop into an agricultural center due to its location at the intersection of two major wagon routes - the National Road (now Interstate 77) and the Erie Canal. In 1845, Loveland became part of the newly formed county of Columbiana, which included all of what is now southwestern Ohio. During this time period,Loveland experienced some growth but also struggled with financial difficulty because it was located so far from major commercial areas. In 1870-71, however,zonation changes in southeastern Ohio led to significant growth for Loveland as new settlers arrived from Michigan and other states looking for land to purchase or Extension Service grants for homesteading purposes. This growth eventually led to increased revenue and assistance from government officials in order to address some of the town's economic challenges. Consequently, by 1880-81 Lovelland had attained self-sufficiency within its own right while still maintaining close ties with neighboring communities through trade associations and cooperation programs such as those established by local banks. During this time period too there were dramatic changes taking place throughout much of America including Reconstruction which caused many people in rural areas like Loveland to lose their jobs or see their homes destroyed after war hostilities ended. However despite these difficult times many residents chose not only to remain resilient but also To build anew based on principles they had learned during previous generations that were still active today: work together for neighborliness; be proud when making progress; never give up hope; live life fully each day; take advantage of every opportunity because good things come along occasionally; etc... In 1897-98 there was another large influx of people seeking development opportunities in western Ohio following passage of federal law establishing The United States Bureau OF Forestry (USBF). Loveland is a town located in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 23,471 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hamilton County. Loveland was founded on July 3, 1868 by General James H. Morrow and others as a result of the Homestead Act of 1862. The city of Loveland was formed in 1899 from parts of the towns of Huber Heights and Westfield. The city annexed portions of neighboring towns in 1907, 1908 and 1912. In 1951, Loveland incorporated as a village with a population of 5,000 people. On December 1, 1978 it became an independent city with 15% population growth over two years to 25% over four years due to annexations from other cities in that area - making it one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Ohio since 1991 (the official measure). In January 2006 Mayor Greg Ballard announced that he would not seek re-election after serving for five terms; his successor Bob Kapp took office on January 1st and did not pursue annexation or incorporation into any other municipality as mayor until after December 1st when he became an elected official again which allowed him to run for office again on November 4th against incumbent Kapp who had already won his first term being mayor through no fault thereof... The town site has been inhabited by various cultures for more than 1000 years according to archeological evidence found at various sites throughout central Ohio including Monongahela culture sites near Pittsburgh and Miamisburg cultures near Dayton...
On July 9, 1814, the first steamboat to travel up the Ohio River was built in Loveland. The boat, called the "Cleveland", was used by traders and travelers from Cincinnati to Cleveland. On November 10, 1815, the first railroad train journeyed through Loveland
