Hamilton High School opened its doors on October 6th 1922 with 9 students; today there are over 1,500 students attending Hamilton High School which offers classes ranging from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade along with many extracurricular activities including football (the school’s only sport), basketball (amedley co-ed), baseball (boy/girl varsity), softball (co-ed) and tennis ( Girls’ Team Champions twice). In addition there are numerous clubs & organizations affiliated with HamiltonHighSchool like Mathletes League Club for gifted math students/, FootballClub for boys/girls/, Future Farmers Of America club for high school seniors/juniors/. The community also enjoys music performances by various choirs throughout the year as well as arts shows put on by several local artists

This decision changed the course of history as Lebanon became one of America’s most important educational institutions due to its location and access to education resources outside Manhattan. It also played an important role in helping form America’s military identity. The village continued to grow through various incorporations until it reached its current size with 3,000 residents in 1945; making it one of the largest villages in Northwest Ohio. The growth has not been only due to natural increase but also through annexation by neighboring towns such as Zanesville and Springfield during the past few decades which have resulted in more jobs and better schools for Lebanon citizens than ever before. The village still preserves many features that made it unique such as its unique architecture which has been preserved throughout time thanks to efforts by volunteer groups like “The Village Preservation Society” who help maintain these buildings while also providing funding for restoration projects every year or so.
