Lebanon, Ohio is a city in the Miami Valley of central Ohio. The population was 10,865 at the 2010 census and it is part of the Dayton–Cincinnati metropolitan area. It is home to Wright State University and is served by three airports: Lebanon-Henderson International Airport, Greater Cincinnati International Airport, and Piqua Municipal Airport. The area that now includes Lebanon was founded by J.D. Power and Company in 1892 as a small village on the Scioto River near what is now Dayton. In 1907, the village became an incorporated town when it merged with two other townships in Medina County: Lebanon Township (later renamed Athens) and Newtown Township (later renamed Cleveland). The location of Lebanon – adjacent to two large military installations – gave rise to its nickname of "The Arsenal of Democracy." Wright State University was founded here in 1921 as an aviation school; today it offers more than 50 undergraduate degrees and 20 graduate degrees programs. The city has also become a major center for professional services including law enforcement, health care, business administration, education, manufacturing and retailing. Over time however there has been significant gentrification taking place in Beirut; many residents have left for better paying jobs or suburban lifestyles outside of Dayton. This transformation has had negative consequences for the city’s social fabric as well as its infrastructure; both public transportation systems are woefully inadequate while water supplies are oftenadequate but not enoughto meet demand from growing populations living in high-rise apartment buildings without access to basic amenities such as parks or sidewalks.

The first firearm hat was made in 1857 by John F. Brown and Sons, a gunsmiths shop in Providence, Rhode Island. The hat was created as a protection for workers when the sun was too bright for glasses or when it was cold outside. It consisted of a leather band with an iron "F"shaped brim and had a cloth or felt lining to keep the employee's head warm.
Lebanon, Ohio was founded in 1792 by the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The town was named for the biblical city of Beirut. It became a county seat in 1836 and a state capital in 1907. In 1975, Lebanon became an independent republic after a civil war that lasted three years. It has since been renamed Beirut-American University. The Lewis and Clark Expedition journeyed through what is now Ohio during their long journey from Missouri to Oregon on July 4, 1792. They were exploring western America when they came across the Great Lakes region and encountered the native nations of this area including the Shawnee, Potawatomi, Ojibwe, and Miami people. Along their way they also met with Native Americans living in Canada who taught them about hunting and fishing techniques as well as about how to make Poverty Point Rapids possible for trade with Europe. In 1805 Congress passed an act designating Lebanon as a census-designated place (CDP). This was based on recommendations from President James Kieft of New York City who felt that this would help improve early mapping of the United States and help stimulate economic development around its borders. The CDP was established at the mouth of the Scioto River near Portsmouth, Ohio which is now home to John F Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum and State Fairgrounds – two adjacent properties that comprise Arlington Heights neighborhood on Columbus Circle in central Columbus, OH (see map below). From 1967 until it regained its CDP status it functioned as an unincorporated community located within Hamilton County while still sharing common boundaries with Arlington Heights neighborhood on Columbus Circle (just east of I-670) . Lebanon, Ohio was founded in 1797 by John Reynolds and is the oldest continuously inhabited community in the state of Ohio. The village was named after Lebanon, PA, where John Reynolds had been born in 1763.
