A bronze gun hammer was excavated from a site in Qinghai Province, China in 1949. It is an extremely rare find and is now on display at the Provincial Museum of Technology in Hefei, China. The development of the modern shotgun began with the invention of the breechloading firearm, which allowed for more rapid reloading of rounds into the chamber than was possible with earlier firearms. This led to a need for a tool that could be used to strikers or pneumatic guns to clear jams and ensure accurate fire. In 1847, George Stephenson developed and patent’d his first steam locomotive engine with a power-operated gunsmithing system that allowed him to create gunsights and hammers onto each carriages hubcap so that they could be fired remotely by operators on board. This led to the development of later railroads such as First National Railway Company (FNR) which required large items like locomotives and bridges to be transported by hand rather than being unloaded at terminals where they were then carted off-site for repair or demolition. Lakewood is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 27,611 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cuyahoga County. The city was founded in 1824 by the merger of two small villages, Northfield and Lakewood. The name Lakewood comes from a body of water called Beaver Creek on the western border of town. The first settlers came to what is now Lakewood in 1824 and founded a trading post near present day Uniontown. In 1830, they erected a log cabin on Beaver Creek which became known as "the White House". A year later, they laid out a Townsite Plan for their new community which included foursquare blocks with one-and-a-half stories high and five stories wide streets. They named it "Lakewood" after Chief John Ladd's home fortress about 12 miles (19 km) east of them on Beaver Creek River. In 1834, the Erie Canal was completed and transportation became available to the area beyond Cleveland. Businesses began to grow rapidly as people traveled to jobs in nearby Cleveland or Toledo. As more people moved into town, Streets were renamed and more buildings were erected: First block Westlake opened in 1840; Second block Euclid Street opened in 1845; Third block Clinton Avenue opened in 1850; Fourth block Elmira Road opened in 1860; Fifth block Hoyt Road opened in 1870; Sixth block State Road 9 open date unknown but ceded to borough of Cleveland on January 1st 1889 In 1886, Northfield annexed Cedarville creating another municipality within Cuyahoga County with its own government and taxes separate from those levied by Lakewood In 1954 when Euclid Heights annexed Cedarville again creating yet another municipality within Cuyahaga County with its own government separate from those levied by both cities combined it would total nineteen municipalities including nine townships within Cuyahoga County having their own local police forces - making Lakewood one of only thirteen American cities with this type of development . Today much has changed since then especially due to suburbanization over time that has seen most residents move away from downtown cores while businesses have closed or converted into strip malls/mall shopping centers/apartment complexes etc., leaving behind an abandoned core that can be explored during daytime walks or at night if desired
