On July 1, 1903,[2]ketching merged with Renfrew Township to form Cuyahoga County;[3]kettering continued to be its own municipal government until 1963.[4] In 1965-1966,[5] KETTERING took over operation of CLEVELAND SCHOOL DISTRICT No 2 which had been run by LUCAS COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD since 1961-1962 because that Board could not keep up with demand for education services due to population growth withinCLEVELAND MUNICIPALITY!
