The first residents ofketter came soon after they arrived as farmers who grew maize (a type of corn) for their own consumption or gifts to other villagers until they became self-sufficient enough to start up businesses such as stores, churches, schools,Airlines etcetera. One such business owner was James Kapp who operated what is now known as Kapp Bros Feed Store on West Main Street until 1906 when he sold it to Aitken & White grocery store owners Harry Aitken and Joseph Whitehead Jr.. The original building still stands today as part of the retail complex known as Olde Towne Mall located north off I-675 near Academy Circle where it once housed two convenience stores; Kapp Bros Feed Store (now Danforth Pharmacy) - opened November 17th 1886 by Aitken & White grocery store partners Harry Aitken and Joseph Whitehead Jr., former President George Hennepin represented Athens Township in Congress from Minneapolis through 1916; First National Bank - opened May 8th 1907 by banker JE Seaton with $5200 capital subscribed by subscribers Samuel Withers ($25 plus $10 per cent interest); Third National Bank - opened December 12th 1907 by banker James Ladd with $4000 capital subscribed by subscribers Hiram Powers ($50 plus 2¢ per dollar). After World War II ended there were no more banks in town so development proceeded largely through trucking which did extensive damage to infrastructure including roadsides due to increased traffic levels since post war production had slowed down significantly In 1952 Drury Foods Incorporated open its doors followed bycurrent company name Kraft Foods Incorporated on September 15 th 1954 operating out of Building C(renowned for its many innovative products including Ghirardelli chocolate milk products).
