In 1942 alone, SAFE production reached an all time high with 627 units being produced! Sales plummeted after the war ended but resumed gradually starting in 1951 until reaching an all time high again in 1976 with 91 units! This new location allowed GUN SAFE CORP to build its current building which still stands today. In 1976, GUN SAFE COOPERATIVE INC., successor company to GUN SAFE CORP, purchased the building from Mrsve Chapman again and moved into it permanently.
