In 1892, Ohio gunsmiths developed a new type of oil that was effective in overcoming these problems. called "Wet-Out." The original Wet-Out oil was also used to clean rifle stocks before shooting. The first production Wet-Out oil was made by J.B. Lippincott & Sons in 1903. This company produced an entire line of Gun Lubricants until 1945 when it merged with Allyn Brothers Company to form American Mfg., Incorporated (AMI). During World War II, AMI produced non-military fuel oils for the war effort under the name "Pine Tar Oil." In 1949, AMI merged with Brownells Corporation to form Brownells, Incorporated (BI). Kent, Ohio is a small town in the western part of the United States. The population was 5,815 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern border of Cleveland County and is bordered by Lake Erie to the north, Trumbull County to the east, and Painesville Township to the south. The first people who settled in Kent were Germans who came overland from Germany in 1814. The town was platted in 1835 and named for Colonel John Kent, an American Revolutionary War soldier. In 1837, a post office was established at Kent and remained in operation until 1906. The village of Kent was founded on land that now makes up part of downtown Akron. When it started out as a small settlement, only 5 people lived thereabouts; however, within 10 years it had grown into one of Akron's most vibrant communities with over 100 residents.Today's downtown area includes many businesses and cultural attractions dating back to its early days including: The Akron Museum of Art (founded in 1907), The Casino (founded in 1911), The Ford Foundation Building (opened in 1928), and First Baptist Church (founded in 1824). The University of Akron opened its doors in 1916 as what is today known as Case Western Reserve University. In 1925-1926, Kent added its own library which still stands today - one of only two remaining municipal libraries throughout Ohio left open during those decades! In 1957-1958 when Cleveland Plain Dealer Newspaper Chain merged with Dow Jones & Company then WLKY TV station became owner/operator affiliating KENT BROADCASTING NETWORK INC., channel 7 KYW-TV joined KING-TV network affiliation same day effective September 15th 1958 becoming KENT 7 NEWS Network affiliate along with sister stations WKRC AM 780 kHz & WWJ TV 4 CBS 2 also joining network affiliation increasing total staff from five to ten making KENT 7 News Network flagship station while WCVO Radio 1650 kHz became WCVO RADIO DEPARTMENT HOSTILE TOWARD THE NATIONAL SWITCHboard under new ownership becoming World Service Broadcasters Incorporated thereafter branded "WCVO"

Kent, Ohio is a town in the lower Peninsula of Michigan, located in the Sandusky District of the Muskegon County, Michigan area. The population was 2,836 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Rapids–Muskegon-Grand Valley metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in Kent was George Harger on March 5, 1814 when he and his family moved from Canada to what is now Muskegon Township. In 1824 John Fenton arrived from Wales and founded what would become Kent. In 1830 Joshua Potter settled near present day Canton and opened a tannery there which became one of the largest in the region. In 1835 Arent Kieft purchased 1/2 mile (1 km) north ofpresent day Kent from David Dennison for $200 cash and began plowing and farming there. That same year Daniel Boone discovered Larchmont Lake while camping near present day Sault Ste Marie on his way to find a new home for his family in Indiana. He named it after his old home country of Scotland, Loch Nessie. By 1840 most residents had left for various reasons including Indians who had taken over much of their land during Tecumseh's War; gold discoveries along Lake Erie; or poverty caused by lack of work opportunities consequent to inflation following American Civil War – all within driving distance of Akron or Cleveland where wages were higher than hereabouts. But not everyone left because life was hard – some simply withdrew because they could no longer support themselves with only subsistence farming or hunting as done before contact with Europeans had eliminated any game resources available close at hand (a common phenomenon among First Nations groups). Others decided this location offered advantages such as good soil quality not found anywhere else within Muskegon County’s borders, clear water access off both Larchmont Creek and into Grand River below Dresden Mills Dam (the first known dam built west of Chicago), easy access to major highways via US Highway 21 & state Route 9 east through Painesville Township then east again into Muskegon County via Gratiot Avenue to reach Detroit & other destinations like Buffalo & Syracuse NY etc., especially since freight rates had also plummeted since canal construction started two decades earlier throughout this entire region making travel much more affordable than it once was back east… thus remaining until recently a largely agricultural residential community characterized primarily by its large cotton ginners’ families that continue today as its primary industry….
