Ironton, Ohio is a town in the U.S. state of Ohio and the seat of Trumbull County. As of the 2010 census, the population was 26,816. Its ZIP code is 45362. The village of Ironton is located within the town limits. The land that makes up Ironton was first settled in 1795 byNicholas Lyon and others who were along the Little Miami River when they discovered rich coal seams near what would become Akron, Ohio. In 1802, John Lyon bought 666 acres (269 hectares) of land from Nicholas Lyon for $1,500. He named his new settlement after his father-in-law's family name: Ironton Township (now Trumbull County). The townsite was platted on March 3, 1803 and opened to public use on April 6th under the name "Ironton." In 1839, David Swayze donated 640 acres (241 hectares) of land to build what is now Swayze Park in central Ironton as a place for people to picnic and view natural beauty around him while he pursued his business interests in Lima, Indiana; however this donation has never been acknowledged by either township or county authorities until recent years due to its proximity to other larger donations from other residents over time which have also not been properly honored or commemorated. The first post office in Ironton opened on November 15th1897 with Wm Fenton as clerk. It closed on October 1st 1902 because mail shipments became too dangerous during the American Civil War based off rumors that there were Confederate forces stationed nearby at Sandusky Heights Military Camp which overlooked most of downtown Ironton at that time On February 14th 1912 David Swayze donated another 640 acres (241 hectares) adjacent to present day Swayze Park adjoining Trumbull County line for public use as an airport having received approval from then Commissioner George Ladds with plans submitted to him by aviation pioneer Harry Laughlin who had built an airplane hangar at Wright Field just south of Dayton Airport which served as a test ground for many early aircraft manufacturers including Curtiss-Wright before it became Dayton Air National Guard Base . The current airport building dates back to this period but only needs air traffic control equipment currently since it no longer serves passenger flights although it still contains part of original infrastructure such as runways/elevators/ellipses etc dating back to those days including old hangar & taxiways

Barrels come in all shapes and sizes; there’s even one called “gripers” specifically designed for handguns that fit into recesses on top of barrels so they don’t touch your hands while you shoot.

Ironton was founded in 1813 by George Ironton and his family. The town is located in the southern portion of Ohio, about 50 miles south of Cincinnati. It has a population of approximately 25,000 people. George Ironton was a merchant who started trading with the Native Americans in this area. He also developed a farm near Ironton. In 1817, he married Sarah Henshaw and established the home that still stands today as one of the most important symbols of Ironton’s history. The first school in Ironton was built in 1824 by Dr. Nicholas Wistar and Mrs. Larkin Gifford on land donated by George Ironton himself. The school became known as “Pioneer Normal School” until it moved to its current location in 1927. Today, Pioneer Normal School continues to educate students from all walks of life throughout central Ohio and beyond through its online program, which offers pre-kindergarten through 12th grade education options for students living outside of Indianapolis or Columbus (the primary city served by Pioneer Normal School). In 1828, George Ironton Jr., another member of the Ironton family, started a grocery store here at his home called “The Grocery Store on Main Street” which continues to be open today as one of the town's main businesses. This store became so successful that it later opened an annexe off Elm Street where it remains today as yet another important part of local history! Due toLieutenant Colonel Benjamin Butler's Invasion Of Canada during The American Revolution (1776), many Loyalists fled from British control into what is now northern Indiana and northwestern Ohio during late 1775-early 1776 timeframe; some landed at Beaver Dam on our east side river & others at Monongahela Bay on our west side riverknown as "Ironton". Lt Col Butler landed between those points some time after Feb 1st suggesting site for new settlement although no buildings were ever erected there either then or now because military restrictions placed upon movement then & now make such activity impossible (& illegal). Settlement attempt failed due to lack available building materials then & now but Townspeople continue Ruins/Maintained Park Historic Site name reflecting early efforts even though property constraints remain
Ironton is located in the northwest corner of Ohio, on the border of Indiana and Michigan. It was first settled by Europeans in the late 1700s, and was incorporated as a village in 1836. Ironton became an industrial center during the 19th century, with mills manufacturing goods such as lumber, cloth, and shoes. In World War II, Ironton played a significant role in the Battle of Ironton Ridge, which occurred near the town on October 8, 1944. The battle resulted in the death of over 50 soldiers from both sides.
