Huber Heights is a city in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio, named after German explorer Johann Georg Huber. The population was 11,940 at the 2010 census, making it the largest city in Butler County by population. It is also the smallest municipality in Butler County by area. The land that would become Huber Heights was first surveyed for farming by George West and others during the 1790s. On February 5, 1803, John Denton sold two-thirds of his interest in an estate called "Ridgefield" to Michael Anthony Hicks for $1,000USD+. On July 1, 1806, when Ohio became a United States state and was split into three parts along racial lines - including Butler and Mahoning counties - Huber Heights residents voted to join Mahoning County as one united municipality. However due to its small size (just over 10 square miles), on December 14th 1810Huber Heights successfully petitioned US Congress to be admitted as a town under Article XVIII of the Constitution of United States: "That within five years from this date there shall be erected here an act providing for organizing this county into Towns or Incorporations." In 1811-12 construction began on what would become downtown Huber Heights which opened up new businesses such as TJ's Grill & Brewery and All American Biscuit Company. By 1830 all but four businesses had closed down because of low demand for goods brought into town from outlying areas; however with help from local businessmen Isaac Neely and Daniel DrakeHubert Brothers Store remained open until 1865 unchanged despite numerous offers to sell it off). The decision not to close down did not come easily though; many people credit Mayor Jno Hickey with preserving downtown Hubert Heights through fundraising efforts which helped keep much needed funding available until recently. In 1850 only 2% of Hubert Heights' citizens wereMAJORITY Polish Americans while most Irish Americans lived outside Cincinnati proper; however since 1861 when easternGerman refugees started arriving at high rates in southern OH they've gradually moved into central & eastern suburbs putting some much needed breathing space into downtown HOVERHEIGHTS! This has given historic landmark like Hickey's Garage multiple facelifts throughout its history including re-landscaping complete in 2009 (adding more than 1000 sq ft onto original lot) . Despite these recent updates many people still maintain that old brick building WITH PINE SHORE VIEW near Main Street is just too darn cute NOT TO WORRY ABOUT .

Huber Heights was a small town in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron metropolitan area. The first settlers in Huber Heights were David and Susana Copley who arrived in 1814 from Ireland. They built a log cabin on the west side of town near what is now Seventh Street and High School Road. In 1827, they married Martha Ladd and moved to their present location on the east side of town where they founded the Ladd-Huber family farmstead which still stands today. In 1829, Nathan Hobert bought land north of Huber Heights from John Smith for $2 per acre. He began to develop it into an agricultural community with his house as its first permanent home. In 1830, he erected a large frame house which stood until 1911 when it was destroyed by fire. When Huber Heights officially became a village in 1870, Nathan Hobert remains its namesake although he sold all his land to various purchasers over the years including James Breen and Frank Kappelinger Jr.. There are several interesting historical events associated with Huber Heights such as: In 1892-1893, local schoolteacher Anna Catharine Rankin taught school in one of her homes located on Third Street between Prospect Avenue and Harrison Drive during summertime; this program continued until 1903 when Mrs Rankin moved to Euclid Township where she also taught for many years before retiring in 1938. A post office was established atHubert heights in 1865; mail handled by private citizens until 1896 when it was transferred toAkron under then Mayor Lucius Cary's auspices after becoming establishment #1 within that citywide network (later renamed ZIP Code 44011). The first postmaster general was Drusilla Snodgrass who served from 1893-1902; thereafter Drusilla Goodloe replaced her serving as postmaster general until 1916 when Mrs Snodgrass returned to duty following World War I while also serving as director of public instruction for that municipality (later renamed Cleveland). The name "Huber Heights" appears on deed restrictions placed upon certain adjoining properties dating back to c1820 which prohibited any other person or company from using those lands for more than three years without consent from both parties involved thereby limiting development potential for future residents or bumping up against existing buildings/property boundaries). Mrs Snodgrass' tenure as postmaster general marked an important milestone within that particular village because she held sway over not only mail but also civic affairs - something particularly rare at that time given how tightly controlled municipal finances were throughout much of America during this period...the continuing popularity of Huber Heightsschool system can be chalked up partially to Anna Catharine Rankin's notable tenure thus establishing an enduring legacy locally... Furthermore throughAnna Catharine Rankin's spirited efforts some early 20th century infrastructure projects such as street paving and water lines were accomplished largely without taxpayer funds despite persistent anti-government sentiment among many residents throughout much OFOhio during this era!
