Huber Heights is a small, unincorporated community in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The community is located on the southern border of the city of Dayton. It was established in 1892 by Wm. H. Huber and his wife Lillie. Huber Heights was named for its original owner, William Huber, who settled in what is now Huber Heights in 1847. The community had a population of about 100 people in 2000. Most of the residents are descendants of early settlers from Germany and Austria who arrived in the area during the mid-19th century. The oldest resident still living at Huber Heights is Wm., Fannie Mae's great-grandfather; he was born in 1851 and died in 1955.
