The Huber Heights, Ohio gun mags story began in the early 1920s when John and Belle Huber started producing their own firearms. The Hubers were a family of gunsmiths who had been making rifles and shotguns for years before starting manufacturing pistols. In the 1920s, they became one of the first companies in Ohio to produce ammunition. In 1932, the Hubers produced their first machine-guns. This was a revolutionary product at that time because it was the first time that such a large caliber pistol could be made using a modern printing press and die-casting technique. At that time, guns were typically made using wooden frames with metal cartridges inserted into them. JohnHuber passed away in 1984, but his son Belle continued production until 1991 when she retired from business. Today, the company is still run by Belle Huber's descendants and continues to produce pistols and machineguns as well as ammo
Huber Heights is a small, rural community in the southwestern corner of Ohio. It lies about 20 miles east of Columbus and 10 miles north of Dayton. The population was 2,840 at the 2010 census. The community was founded by German immigrants in 1825. It developed into a small farming town with a population of about 100 in 1830. The first store opened in 1836 and the first school opened in 1840. A post office was established here in 1854 and the first doctor arrived here in 1865. In 1870, Huber Heights became an incorporated village. In 1902 it achieved city status. In 1955, it lost its city charter but regained it as a borough in 1966 when Columbus annexed Huber Heights as part of its growing municipal area

Huber Heights is a city in the Cincinnati metropolitan area, located on the east side of downtown. The population was 24,711 at the 2010 census. It is made up of four wards: Huber Heights-Broadview, Huber Heights-Jefferson Hills, Huber Heights-Oakwood and Murray Hill. The first settler in what is now Huber Heights was Amos Judd who arrived in 1814. He built a cabin on what is now Broadway Avenue. Judd had two children with his wife Sarah and they named their settlement after him—Huber Heights (meaning "joint property"). In 1821, George Washington Carver came to Ohio as a surveyor and began to plat out land hereabouts. Carver's nephews, Nathan Bedford Forrest and James Kenedy bought some of Carver's land in 1827 and founded the town of Forest Park on it. In 1839, Jonathan Dayton established himself as a physician in this community with his daughter Fanny Dayton serving as his office manager. One year later he married Anna Huyck from nearby Jefferson Hills Township (now part of Cincinnati). Dayton moved back to Indiana soon after but left behind a legacy that still exists today – over 1 million dollars has been raised for various charities by descendants of Fanny Dayton since her death in 1984. In 1865 when Ohio became an independent state,Hubert Township was formed from parts of Harrisonburg Township including Hubert Street northward to Prospect Ave., westward along Prospect Ave., southward along Findlay Ave., eastward along Findlay Ave., past which was Walnut St.–this territory forming present day Huber Heights proper while also including portions of what are now Jeffery Hills and Oakwood Townships lying between these boundaries; all of which were included within present day Hamilton County until it was given its own county government by Congress on December 12th 1861 under Act No 9 UST & 10 PT & 3 E&S 1) Today’s Ward 1 includes most or all of what are today Clinton Township (southwest corner), Highland Village (northwest corner), Perrysburg (northern edge), Newport News/Mt Pleasant (central edge), Lyndhurst/Newport News Mills/Bellefontaine (western edge) as well as portions or both sides of Sawmill Road stretching from Bellefontaine eastwards past Newport News Toll House into Reserve Valley 2) Today’s Ward 2 includes most or all of what are today Fairfield township (northwest corner), Hudsonville/Forest Park North(central edge), Bethel village northwest corner); also parts or both sidesof Sawmill Road stretching from Bellefontaine eastwards past Newport News Toll House into Reserve Valley 3) Today’s Ward 3 includes most or allofwhataretoday Delaware township ((southwest corner))– originally partof Hamilton County until it was given its own county government by Congress on December 12th 1861 under Act No 9 UST & 10 PT & 3 E&S 4) The City limits currently stretched southeast from I-71 just beyond Fairfield town line approximately parallel to University Circle
The Huber Heights area was first given its name by a German family, the Huberts. The family moved to the Ohio Valley in 1814 and started a large farm. In 1829, they sold their farm and moved to Huber Heights where they built a home. They continued to live there until 1901 when they sold their house and moved back to Germany.
