This rifle was also chambered for both Union (10 inch) cartridges and Confederate (.58 caliber rounds). By 1870, most American firearm manufacturers had moved away from steel construction towards “bronze” handguns such as revolvers, pistols, shotguns, carbines etc., due to concerns about rust issues from handling firearms in wet or humid environments. However, some companies continued to produce steel-framed handguns such as Colt's single action Army revolver which remained popular until the late 1800s. Bolt Action Firearms began production in 1895 with their Model 1921 lever action revolver utilizing 5 round clips that fed from top loading magazines located behind the trigger guard upon purchase or reloading. Girard, Ohio is a small town in Huron County, Ohio, located about 26 miles north of Erie and 80 miles east of Toledo. The population was 1,392 at the 2010 census. Girard was founded in 1802 by French fur traders Pierre-Jacques Girard and his family. It became an organized village in 1815, under the name of Steubenville. In 1825, it became part of the new state of Michigan and remained so until 1959 when it became part of the new United States. The community experienced a modest growth spurt during World War II as many American servicemen barracks were built here. However, following the war there was little growth until the late 1960s when automobiles began to arrive and begin driving up prices for housing here. By 2000 Girard had reached its current size with 2,438 residents. The first settler in what is now Girard was Jean Baptiste Desrosiers who arrived from France in 1792 along with his wife Marie-Thérèse Romieu and their two children Pierre-Jacques (1793-1868) and Jeanne (1795-1870). He died before he could build a home which he named "Hôtel des Ursules" after one of his daughters. He may have been referring to nearby Ursuline Convent which was founded by sisters Marguerite de Brybourg (1688-1751) and Madeleine d'Este (1691-1757). In 1800 François Xavier de la Rochefoucauld came overland from Canada with his wife Hélène Cournoyer du Plessis(1484–1558). They settled near present day DeKalb Township on land that they had acquired from Chief Tecumseh's daughter Nancy back in 1789 while she lived among the Ottawa Indians at Wyandotte Lake near Detroit Lakes. La Rochefoucauld served as justice of peace for Huron County from 1800 to 1806; during this time he also developed a reputation for being an efficient administrator even though he never held public office himself because he preferred instead to spend his time hunting animals or fishing rather than pursuing political office which would have required him to engage in numerous important decisions that might have impacted much larger communities such as those around him including duties as chairperson or moderator on various Native councils throughout Huron County including negotiations over treaties that ended centuries long Indian Wars between British colonists on the one hand and Native nations on the other hand - something that La Rochefoucauld seems not likely to have taken interest in given his previous lack thereof engagement with such matters despite having significant assets within local society - particularly given how much attention such things apparently drew among powerful elites like himself at the time despite having no need for them actually doing anything other than ruling through sheer force & muscle power anyway - certainly something we can expect MORE OF IN THE PRESENT DAYS WHEN INDIAN NATIONS ARE COMPLETELY OWNED BY MANY CORPORATE ENTities LIKE MICROSOFT etc... Aftermath: After Removal Of Chiefs The People Started Hunting And Fishing More So Than Farming Which Led To Poverty Bacon Creek Massacre In 1800 A Band Of 15 Men Killed A Party From The US Fur Company Who Were Huntng For Buffalo One Day Before Their Arrival At Landing In This Location Because They Thought The Land Was theirs We Called Them Cowboys

By 1830, Girard had a school and a store. In 1836, the town voted to become a city and incorporation followed in 1840. The city experienced rapid growth in its early years with construction of churches, businesses, and residences. However, by 1870-1871 there was a decline in business activity as industrial production increased in nearby Cincinnati. This led to an increase in poverty and crime among Girard's citizens which has been perpetuated through the years.
