The Fremont Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1884 in Fremont, Ohio. The club enjoyed a long and successful history until the early 1990s when it went out of business. The club reformed in 1992 under new management and continues to operate today. The primary purpose of the Fremont Rifle and Pistol Club was to use their rifles and pistols for shooting matches, annual meetings, target shooting competitions, or just having a good time. Many members served in the military during World War I or II, so they were well-equipped with firearms. In 1868, James Wickersham became president pro Tem of Kent County; he served until his death in 1870 while concurrently serving as mayor of Fremont from 1865-1867; he was one of only two mayors ever elected from Kent County without being a member of either house of Congress or any state government entity . In 1886–1887, Atherton Paper Company operated three paper mills within minutes' walk each other on Business Street in downtown Jacksonville – now known as Eastern Avenue – producing paper that shipped all over North America including Philadelphia (then called "The City"), Baltimore (then called "The Harbor"), New York City (then called "The Great Gatsby"), San Francisco Bay Area (then called "Oakland"), Toronto (then known as "Toronto Harbour") and Vancouver Island before closing down after First World War because competition from stronger local manufacturers made it impossible for them keep up with advances made at those same plants by their American competitors . After his death in 1907 prior to taking office as Mayor Simon Southerland increased restrictions on new factory construction within city limits despite popular opposition among some residents who saw this as giving away too much territory for too little return on investment following rapid industrial growth since prohibition had ended over 25 years earlier … Southerlander's successor George Brownlow developed plans for mixed use redevelopment using proceeds from sales tax generated by various businesses around town such as grocery stores etc., gradually expanding services into adjacent neighborhoods through annexation later culminating with full annexation creating Downtown Fremont which includes many large buildings today traceable back over 100 years old including The Qwest Center building now home to Macy’s department store next door completed in 2002 proximateNW corner 3rd & Harrison Streets
