Each has its own advantages and disadvantages that can affect your shooting results: Bullseye Sight: The bullseye sight is the most common type of sight found on pistols and rifles. It consists of a large area at the center of which you need to aim in order to hit your target. The bulls-eye provides a clear view in all directions while the rest of the field obscures any other aiming points other than where you want your bullet to go. This type of sight is usually easy enough for most individuals to learn how to use, but can be difficult for those with poor eyesight or lack thereof. Crosshair Sight: A crosshair sighting system allows you to see two lines extending out from either side of the target (the "crosshairs"). These lines indicate where your bullet should land during firing, making it easier for you to hit your target than a bullseye sight would be. In 1868, Fremont's first gun sights were installed on a building in the town square. The original sights were made of lead and consisted of an oblong hole in the center of a circular gold field. The aim was by means of a crossbow bolt passing through the hole and lodging in the backstop at one end, whence it extended forward to hit the target at either side of the square. The first American rifle company was organized in Fremont on November 3, 1872. It was known as “Fremont rifles” and functioned out of two stores located across from each other on Market Street. The company made rifles for both local militia forces and for use by Teamsters Union members travelling through Ohio. In 1876, Captain William Hogg assumed command of Fremont Rifle Company No. 2 which became known as “Hogg’s Battalion” due to his leadership during its early years. On October 15, 1880, John Prentice erected a small frame building on what is now Franklin Avenue within sight of central market in Fremont with intent to offer goods and services related to firearms education to citizens thereof. This business became known as "Prentice's Gun Shop". After John Prentice's death in 1886, his son Harry took over operation until 1906 when he sold out to Wm Hurlbut who continued operations until 1918 when it closed down because World War I intervened; subsequently being reopened by Wm Worthy when hostilities ended.
Fremont, Ohio is an unincorporated community in Stark County, Ohio, United States. It lies east of the city of Cleveland on State Route 4 and north of the village of Westlake. The population was 5,823 at the 2010 census. Fremont was first settled by Europeans in 1788 as part of the western boundary of what is now Cleveland. The town's namesake comes from General George Washington's march through central Ohio during his aborted attempt to capture Philadelphia in 1777. Fremont was platted in 1803 and named for Lieutenant Colonel John Fremont, a U.S.Army officer who had fought at Yorktown and Princeton before being promoted to brigadier general in 1802. The town experienced a modest growth until the early 20th century when it began to attract heavy industry including breweries, mills, mines, and coal mines. The heyday of Fremont came during World War II when its munitions production helped make Cleveland one of the most important centers for war production in America. However, as production switched from military to other activities following World War II, Fremont lost much of its industrial base and declined into obscurity until the late 1990s when it regained some prominence as a small college town with strong ties to local government and higher education

Pistol Sight Picture Airing Devices were first invented by Major John Brownell in 1853 while working on his new revolver, the Colt Pistol. He designed and patented a sight that allowed users to position their pistols so that they could view the target at a range without having to move their hands much. This sight was later developed into the modern pistol grip style sight design. A few years after Brownell’s invention, another inventor named George Hennings made similar improvements to his design, leading to what is now known as Hennings Sightpicture Aiming Device (HSAD). HSAD was eventually licensed by Colt and became popularly called “Hennings-Colt Pistol Sight”. The basic construction of HSAD is very simple; it consists of an octagonal prismatic lens assembly that is inserted into the frontstrap on an unloaded pistol, centered over the bore axis (the line along which you would look if you were trying to fire your weapon from behind), and has two adjustable screws located around its periphery for elevation or depression (or left/right hand operation). The advantage of using HSAD sights rather than traditional iron sights is that they can be moved around easily since they rely only on screws instead of hinges or magnets like iron sights do. Additionally, handgun enthusiasts who use customized barrels may find it difficult to adjust Heller adjustment turrets on standard iron sights because these turrets can only be adjusted in degrees up/down not widthwise or heightwise unlike pistol grip style sight adjustments which can be done in any direction within +/- 10 degrees horizontally/vertical Adjustment Rangefinder) . In 1962 however, American Arms Corporation introduced what is now known as “Bushmaster Rifle Sight” which differed significantly from previous designs including HSAD in several ways including: It featured four screw-adjustable white dots arrayed around a black background for superior night vision visibility; It featured 4 round holders instead of just 2 like HSAD; It had detachable rear sight housing which permitted replacement with different type optics such as lasers or light bars; Finally, Bushmaster Rifle Sight cameequipped with an adjustable dovetail mount suitable for mounting Weaver stocks giving it a wider ranging ability thereby increasing its potential effectiveness against targets at long ranges

Today, Amtrak services run through Fremont past its former depot site before terminating at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport northwest of town limits near I-71/I-480
