The history of airguns in Fremont, Ohio began with the invention of the first self-loading airgun in 1892. At that time, there were no laws regulating the ownership and use of such firearms. The first successful practical application of an airgun was a shooting contest held at the Oakland Athletic Club on December 6, 1893. The popularity of airguns led to their inclusion as part of common law under section 923(c) of the Internal Revenue Code in 1913. This gave them legal protection from seizure by government officials and made them more accessible to those who could afford them. In 1932, enactment of state statutes governing muzzleloader guns led to the abandonment of self-loading pistols as the primary source for training NRA members in marksmanship. Instead, NRA members now learned to shoot handguns using Airgun safety tips provided by gunsmiths and licensed instructors. In 1968, when Ohio enacted its Gun Laws Amendment (No. 3), it became clear that further regulation was needed to ensure public safety from unauthorized access to firearms. To this end, amendment No. 4 created a new type of license called a “Marquette Hunter” license which authorizes individuals only to possess rifles or shotguns that have been registered with and inspected by county sheriff’s departments across Ohio before being possessed or used within this state; purchase or carry any other rifle or shotgun is not authorized. Since then, many changes have occurred in the way that airguns are used andowned throughout Ohio including: The passage in 1998 of Senate Bill 527 which expanded magazine capacity from eight rounds per gun barrel up to twenty-four rounds; repeal in 2003 (and effective date July 1)of House Bill 2158 which limited magazine capacity from ten rounds per gun barrel down to five rounds; addition in 2006 (effective date October 1)of Senate Bill 819 which authorizes transfers between people over eighteen years old without need for a Marquette Hunter license; amendments made thereto pursuant to special session proceedings on November 12-16th, 2013 Ammunition has also evolved over time with increasing numbers becoming available through online retailers and manufacturers direct marketing campaigns

Fremont, Ohio is a town in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 23,567 at the 2010 census. Fremont is located on the border of Lucas and Summit Counties. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton metropolitan area. Fremont was founded in 1824 by General David Wilkinson and others as a post office named for General John Custer. The first store in Fremont was built by John Fenton on Main Street in 1825. In 1830, a schoolhouse also was built near present-day Fremont Heights Elementary School; it stood until 1906 when it burned down. A blacksmith shop and wagon shop were also constructed in the early years of Fremont. In 1836, began construction of what would become known as "The Great Western Railroad", which connected Cincinnati with Toledo and Detroit via Fremont Junction (later Elyria). The railroad completed its route through Fremont in 1840; since then, manyirts have been contributed to its construction such as Seminary Hill iron ore mine and flour mill loft where today's First National Bank building stands. In 1851, Gilbert Green became the first person to be elected Mayor of Fremont Township from his home county seat – he served two terms starting that year before moving to Akron to continue his political career there In 1865–1866 Washington Irving moved from New York City to start an odeon theater west of Cleveland called The Irving House which would later become one of America's most famous movie theaters In 1905–1906 fire destroyed much of downtown business district including most important historical landmarks including The Irving House Municipal services were introduced within the township boundaries by Aaron Burrbaugh who reorganized township government after being elected mayor in 1904 (the first politically successful municipal election ever held within an unincorporated community) He later served as township treasurer from 1907 until his death in 1916 . street names throughout town reflect this fact: Elmira Road -> Burrbaugh Boulevard -> Green Avenue -> Clinton Avenue -> Arlington Drive -> Park Avenue

The area that became Fremont was part of the Shawnee Nation until 1813 when they ceded it to Ohio as part of Treaty 7. In 1818, General Anthony Wayne captured Fort Dearborn from Native Americans at this location and renamed it for General James Dearborn (the brother of Henry Dearborn), father of George Washington. The city's rapid growth during the 19th century was due in part to its location on a major trade route between Cleveland and Cincinnati; traffic crossed the Scioto River here at least 20 times a day during peak periods. In 1836, an act was passed by Congress which designated Fremont as the seat of government for Franklin County – one of five counties created by Act 2nd Session Laws 1st Session (March 4, 1836). In 1870s and 1880s many new industrial plants were built along with brickyards and other associated industries including brewing breweries such as Pabst Brewery and Anheuser Busch Brewing Company among others. During World War II various factories produced munitions including United States Steel Corporation's Ordnance Plant #1 where parts for B-47 bombers were produced; also Ford Motor Company's Willow Run Arsenal moved production from Detroit to nearby Willow Run Airport in 1945 due to wartime shortages elsewhere in Michigan Crime rates have decreased over time but there has been occasional incidents like vandalism or theft against businesses throughout history; however overall crime rates are relatively low compared with most American cities today On July 4th each year Fremont celebrates its role as "The Birthplace Of The American Revolution" with parades through downtown followed by fireworks displays over Lake Erie
