In 1967, Laser Sight Manufacturing Company was established in Findlay by two gentlemen named Bob and Doug Healy. The company quickly became known for its innovative design and quality products. In 1984, Laser Sight Manufacturing Company merged with three other companies to form American Laser Technology Corporation (ALT). At ALT,Bob Healy remained President and Head of Research & Development; Dave Purdy was appointed Vice President - Sales & Marketing; and Rick O’Neill became Director - Quality Assurance. This merger allowed for better product development and increased production rates. As a result of this merge, American Laser Technology Corporation became one of the largest laser sights producers in the world. Findlay is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Lucas County. The population was 753 at the 2010 census, down from 811 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. Founded by religious figures in 1785 as an agricultural village on a bend in the Muskingum River, Findlay grew rapidly during its early days as a manufacturing center for boots, saddles and other horse products. In 1825 it became a town, and in 1868 it became a city after becoming one of America's first "Ring cities." The city has experienced dramatic growth since Prohibition ended in 1933: its population more than tripled between 1920 and 1930 to 1,240; then surged to 2,838 by 1990. Today Findlay is home to many high-tech companies as well as several medical research institutions and universities. The area now occupied by Findlay was first settled by Indians around 1300 AD according to local legend. A small Native American village was located on what is now Main Street near today's gymnasium and library before European traders arrived in 1785 looking for new markets for their goods brought back overland from Europe through the Great Lakes region. George Washington visited Findlay on October 13th, 1790 while en route from Philadelphia to Mount Vernon via Cincinnati (then called West Chester). He stopped at what is now Park Avenue where he met some Indians who had just completed construction of a small fortification called White Water Settlement which served as his last stop before reaching Mount Vernon.. Some years later General Anthony Wayne fortified Fort Wayne with artillery bought from some of these Indian traders so that he could prevent British forces from landing on American soil during the War for Independence.. The source says that there were about 100 settlers living near present day Park Avenue when Washington stopped but this may be an exaggeration based upon recollections or even fabrications made up over time about fateful events related to that day including Washington’s visit specifically…. By 1800 there must have been quite a few people living hereabouts because we find mention of land purchases being made soon afterwards including two lots “near where they are now building [the] High School”….. In 1825 Findlay had only 6 residents but within 5 years it had increased to 100 with buildings such as houses (now Old First Baptist Church) being erected….. Over time various businesses opened up such as grist mills (now Community Bank), wagon maker Isaac Thomas (later J&L Smith), sawmill & grist mill owner James Pemberton ( afterward Wm Taylor & Sons), tannery operator John Dunkerley (later John Deere), bakery Cook和Frank Gifford opened up alongwith druggists Drury &Kendall along with carpenter Wm Haggerty who built several stores including one known as Haggerty’s Wharf which still stands today………. Most important however were autos produced here such as Chrysler Corporation's Dodge plant which started production nearby on Elmwood Avenue…." In 1868 Toledo entrepreneur Andrew Carnegie donated $5 million towards construction of downtown Toledo proper – also known then simply as City Hall – making Toledo one of America's newest metropolitan areas……………………………………… One result was rapid growth due primarily to trade shows convened annually at City Hall sponsored by various business organizations: engineering societies like the American Institute of Architects and engineers associated with Yale University inaugurated proceedings each fall; amateur theatrical productions occurred intermittently throughout winter months under manager Moses Wright; widespread publicity greeted newly formed Municipal Court proceedings staged daily outside session rooms adjacent Times Square concurrent with general warrants ceremonies conducted inside sessions solely revolving around law enforcement issues................................................................................. ....…Although Mayor Michael Collins opposed centralizing government control through City Hall he acquiesced following pressure from other business leaders………………………………....... Laser sights were first developed in the early 1970s by Xerox PARC engineers working on a new type of printing press. They needed a way to reduce errors when printing pictures and wanted something that would be easy to use and reliable. The Laser Sight Company was created to help with this project and has since become one of the most successful laser sight companies in the world. In 1984, they released their first aiming device - an Arduino compatible computer chip that allowed users to control the laser beam using a joystick or mouse. This gave Laser Sight Company some serious competition from other vendors trying to develop their own equivalents of these devices. In 1992, Laser Sight Company introduced their very first crosshair sighting system - called TACS (Topical Accuracy Correction System). This system used an LED light source to determine where the user's Aim Pic should be located on the target; it was very accurate and required no calibration whatsoever! At this point in time, they had truly invented aiming technology! With this innovation, they quickly became one of the leading manufacturers of laser sights available today. In 2006, they produced their very first holographic sight - called Holographic dot HD (Holographic Dot intensity Calibration). This system allowed users to adjust both brightness and focus while viewing images through their monitor; it was extremely stable and worked very well! At this point in time, they had really come fullcircle with their original goal - creating high quality digital optics products that would make your shooting experience better than ever before!

Findlay was founded in 1795 by George Findlay and his brother, John. The town grew rapidly due to its location on the Great Miami River and its access to timber and other resources. Findlay became a major center of trade and commerce in the region, hosting a number of businesses such as foundry, distillery, brewery, and cotton gin. In 1807, the town voted to become an incorporated village. Findlay's growth continued through the years with various annexations and changes in name until it was renamed Findlay Township in 1921.
