This has led to increased traffic congestion around downtown square mile – including some long lasting issues around parking availability – but also has created more opportunities for pedestrians and bicyclists to enjoy Downtown Square Mile’s many attractions without having to worry about getting lost or coming across busy intersections

Fairborn is a town in the southern part of Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,845 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton-Seddon Micropolitan Statistical Area. The first white people to live in what is now Fairborn were two families who came overland from Maryland in 1795. They named their new settlement after General George Washington and his army's encampment on High Rock Hill near West Point on Long Island during the American Revolution. When the men from Fairborn asked for land to settle, they received only five acres (two hectares). However, by 1805 a group of farmers had purchased 5,000 acres (2 km²) around Fairborn and began to build homes there. The first post office was established in 1807 with Joseph Cook as its first treasurer. In 1812 a steamboat stopped at Fairborn while traveling down the Ohio River; when passengers disembarked they built a platform along the bank and took selfies with whomever climbed ashore to take pictures! In 1870, Congress created new boundaries for Hamilton County which included Fairborn within it and made it an incorporated village. The following year saw one of the most important events in town's history when John Denny founded Denny’s Department Store here as a rival to neighboring Cincinnati’s First National Bank. The store became one of America’s leading department stores before going out of business in 1950 (although some remnants can still be found inside One Columbus Circle). Denny also helped start what would become known as "the fairgrounds" area which located northwest of downtown between Fifth Street and Seventh Avenue North; this included much of what is today called "The Strip." This area housed both local shows such as harness races and country fairs as well as amusement park attractions like his own Denny’s Park where amusement rides such as “The Big Top” were built overlooking Main Street (now Fifth Street). One interesting fact about this time period is that due to high levels of traffic on Fifth Street at that point in time, many buildings here have been preserved including even parts of Denny’s Department Store! AsTown grew more popular among consumers stemming from its location close to major shopping areas like Dayton Mall or University City Shopping Center it attracted various businesses starting with J & L Carpet Cleaning Company opened up by Joe Lambert back then just east off Third Street Northeast corner until moving into their current location across FourthStreet Northeast next door lots later still another big business started up called Olive Garden Italian Restaurant which served all sorts pizza meals until closed up shop years ago too!! All these companies contributed greatly towards giving us today's vibrant commercial district we call 'The Strip'.
