This business continued until 1832. From then until 1865,Fairchild Manufacturing was located at 6th and Elm Streets in Fairborn. During this time period, they manufactured rifles, pistols and shotguns as well as handguns. The company also produced t-shirts for other businesses in the town such as banks and hotels. In 1865, Fairchild Manufacturing moved to 9th Street in downtown Fairborn and ceased operations. However, their legacy lives on to this day as part of the city’s arsenal district!

Fairborn is a small town in Butler County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,814 at the 2010 census. Fairborn is the county seat of Butler County. It is part of the Cleveland Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first white settlers in what is now Fairborn were Quakers who arrived in 1795 and named their community after their home town of Fairfield, England. In 1811, the township was organized from parts of Willoughby and North Olmsted townships. The name "Fairborn" was chosen because it was thought to be auspicious for a new township to be founded near the fairgrounds that had been used since early times for religious services and exhibitions of agricultural products. In 1820, John Davenport laid out a village on land which he had purchased from the Indians east of present-day Uniontown; Fairborn became his principal settlement until he died in 1836. In 1870, following passage of the Indian Removal Act which gave General George Meigs authority to remove all Native Americans living within five miles (8 km) of Cincinnati without consent or compensation, many residents of eastern Butler County left for Chicago with little or no warning to those remaining in Fairborn and other villages along the route. Many women and children were forced into prostitution before they were finally able to leave by wagon train under terrible conditions - one woman described her experience as follows: “We travelled over night inside open freight cars filled with menaces such as snakes crawling out through doorways; we heard them spitting upon us; they threatened us with fire if we did not go on” (Fischer). One elderly resident recalled that “the women got down between our carts and begged us not to leave them behind – but when we stopped at a crossing where there would be no more cars coming anyhow, they just took off like crazy RUNNING BACK TO THEIR COUCHES!” Some men also deserted during this time as well; one man reported being pursued by Apache scouts while attempting to cross an Indian reservation: “I made up my mind then that I wouldn't come back any more – so I started walking away [from] there’’ (Fischer). By 1860, only about 50 people remained in Fairborn proper while 1,500 people lived scattered throughout eastern Butler County; most involved farming or ranching operations. With much construction going on around Cleveland during this period Interstate 90 bypassed central Ohio making commuting much easier for residents located outside Of Cleveland's metropolitan area much harder than it had been previouss decades prior By 1910 fewer than 100 people lived in either side of Savellstown Creek as rural farmers moved into urban areas further south while businesses relocated closer to Interstate 90 By 1920 less than 30 people lived within city limits while 400-500 people resided spread throughout eastern Butler County

As popularity for firearms merchandise grew throughout the 1970s and 1980s there was a corresponding increase in sales of T-shirt products overall within the U.S., with some estimates suggesting that up to 50% of all domestic gun sales take place through online channels alone! In 1992 NRA introduced their own line of adult tactical clothing called "Tactical Elite" which featured bright colors and graphics that appealed to both men and women alike; it quickly became one of the most successful lines of clothing ever developed by the organization! Additionally, Fairborn is home to the University of Michigan- which has a large campus here- making it an important city for education and business interests alike.
The first European settlement in Fairborn, Ohio was by the French in 1701. In 1801, the United States acquired land from the British in what is now Cincinnati. The area that would become Fairborn was part of Hamilton Township and was organized as a village on November 3, 1814. On February 24, 1825, Fairborn voters passed a resolution to name their town after George Washington. The town's first post office opened in March of that year. The population of Fairborn peaked at 2,500 in 1850 and declined to 1,500 by 1860 due to various factors such as rising prices for farmland and the arrival of railroad trains.
