By 1915, there were five major ammunition manufacturers in Ohio: Winchester (now known as Winchester Repeating Arms Company), Remington Arms Company (now Remington Outdoor Brands Inc.), Brownells Ammo Company (later part of Samuel Adams Brewing Company), Lake City Ammunition Corporation (later part of Federal Firearms Corporation) and American Ammunition Company (later known as American Eagle). Together these companies manufactured over 1 million rounds per month for various types of firearms including shotguns, rifles and pistols. Today these companies continue to produce quality ammo products that are still popular today.

Fairborn is a small town in the northwestern part of Ohio, United States. The population was 5,719 at the 2010 census. Fairborn is located east of Cleveland on the banks of the Cuyahoga River. The town was founded in 1810 by John Fairborn and his family from Connecticut. The name "Faireborow" means "fair-aired place." The first settlers in what is now Fairborn were Quakers who arrived in 1810. They built a log cabin on the bank of the river and named it after their home state of Pennsylvania, which they had just discovered. Over time, other groups moved into what is now Fairborn and some formed churches there. In 1836, John Denny opened up one of the first stores in what is now Cleveland. This started an era of growth for Fairborn as businesses flourished and people began to move here to find a better life. In 1840, pioneer George Stephenson developed the railroads that would helpspawn Cleveland's rapid growth into one of America's leading cities. He brought over his friend Thomas Edison to develop this new technology in Cincinnati – making him America's first commercial inventor – and he quickly got himself established as one of Cleveland's most successful businessmen. One result was that many residents decided to move to Cleveland rather than stay behind after Goodyear Tire & Rubber purchased nearby patents for tires made with rubber from bovine feet (see Rubber tire). When World War II broke out, local industries helped support American troops throughout Europe while others became involved in munitions production or served as auxiliaries such as firefighters or ambulance drivers within Nazi concentration camps during World War II (see Wartime industry in Ohio). By 1945, however, much manufacturing had ceased due to economic recession following war; however some light industry remained until 1990 when steel mills closed throughout Northeast Ohio due to deregulation (see Steel mills close across Northeast Ohio). Today, many businesses have relocated back intotown while others remain open but are struggling with low levies caused by depressed wages and increased competition from online retailers and other e-commerce businesses (see E-commerce development stalls downtown]. Despite these challenges, Fairborn remains vibrant with active community involvement all year long including fund raisers such as its annual Harvestfest parade which features more than 1 million pounds (4 metric tons) of donated goods

Fairborn is a city in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,814 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Lucas County. The city was founded in 1828 as an agricultural town named for John Fairborn, an Englishman who had come to America that year to purchase land from the Indians. The first store and courthouse were built in what is now downtown Fairborn. The name "Fairborn" was first used as a name for the entire township when it was organized in 1836. The township's original site lay just east of today's downtown Fairborn and its boundaries ranged from Northwest corner of Riverside Drive (now US-6) to Southeast corner of Euclid Avenue and Wadsworth Street (now I-675). In 1837, the initial boundaries were changed to follow present day US-6 south to Northampton Road then east along Northampton until they reached today's southeast corner on West Ridgemont Boulevard (now I-675). This change made Fairborn centrally located within Township limits and helped make it one of the most important commercial townships inLucas County. In 1840, voters elected David Matthews as their first mayor; he served two terms before being succeeded by John Clementson; Clementson served four terms before becoming sheriff of Lucas County. In 1848, James Wicker became mayor after winning a three-way race against Samuel Davenport and Job Thornburgh; Thornburgh won only because he ran with liquor prohibitionist candidates instead of running on a pure platform supporting prohibitionism. By 1870, when Cleveland annexed Lucas County, Fairburn had become part of Cleveland proper while still retaining some vestige of local autonomy within Township limits which included control over public education and other municipal functions such as fire protection and trash collection services. During this time period also began efforts by developers to turn portions of northwestern Township into new neighborhoods primarily due to increasing business opportunities available through streetcar service connecting downtown Cleveland with northwest Ohio communities such as Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus

The population of Fairborn grew rapidly during the 19th century, and by 1907 it had reached 100,000 people. In 1920, the city became an independent municipality and has since grown to over 200,000 people.
