The Euclid Arms Manufacturing Company was founded in 1892 by Elmer C. Smith and his son, Clifford W. Smith. The company made rifles and shotguns using a variety of technologies including gas-operated action, bolt action, and semi-automatic firearms. In 1916, the company became known as the Euclid Arms Corporation after moving to Euclid Heights in Cleveland suburb of Euclid. During World War II, the company produced rifles for the US military under license from Swiss manufacturer Steyr-Mannlicher AG.
Euclid is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,859 at the 2000 census. Euclid is part of the Cleveland–Akron-Canton Combined Statistical Area. The first white man to settle in what is now Euclid was John Weaver in 1810. He bought two hundred acres (120 ha) of land from the Wyandot nation and built his farm there. In 1814, he married Rebecca Hall and started to build a house on the present site of Euclid High School. The Weavers were soon joined by other pioneers and farmers who began settling in what would become Euclid Township on October 3, 1815 following US Geographic Names Convention guidelines for new towns formulating their names. In 1827, when Ohio became a state, it passed an act adopting the system of U.S. congressional representation which gave each township one representative in the statehouse instead of two as before; thus, Euclid had only one vote but with this change it became an important town within its own boundaries due to its congressional representation – something that would continue until 1907 when it attained majority status status as a municipality under an act of the General Assembly known as An Act To Incorporate Euclid into Stark County (1887). The first post office at Euclid was established on December 12, 1830 by James Wetherbee and named "Niles". It moved to "Emmons" during 1834–35 because Emmons Post Office Building was too small for all the mail they received there; it remained at "Niles" until May 15th 1870 when it opened at 222 Niles Road after being relocated from 216 Niles Road near Clintonville where it had been since November 6th 1865 because Clintonville had not yet been incorporated into Stark County! fame Although Emmons Post Office closed July 1st 1863 due to lack of business growth orruction around that time period - note: This building still stands today just south of I-580 exit 95! - actually this closure likely occurred because due to Cherokee Indian hostilities against settlers increasing numbers moving westward alongCENTRAL Ohio's Erie Canal becoming known as 'the Great Famine' many parcels including old Emmons property were confiscated during this time period making any enlargement or renovation difficult or even impossible! It should also be noted that despite emblems like these still standing today on buildings throughout our community + numerous others dating back over 100 years we have *only* recently regained interest & restoration funding specifically given to our Historic District Multiplexing Grant Program administered by USDOT Via CLEARPathways almost singlehandedly restoring some 750+ Structure(s) nationally while also enhancing & rehabilitating thousands more historically significant property elements across America resulting in nearly $160M+ restored properties Nationwide...thus adding diversity/alignment (i.e.,Preserve),preservation evidentially benefits resultant thru stylistic enhancement [+$5M per year overall for 21 years rolling] - both recent projects have generated valuable public sector awareness leading ultimately increased tourism budgets statewide once again providing much needed economic development momentum & vibrancy through job creation thereby improving qualityof life for everyone involved?

Euclid, Ohio is an unincorporated community in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,471 at the 2010 census. Euclid is located on the right side of the Muskingum River, east of its confluence with the Scioto River. The first European to visit Euclid was John Ledward Stephens in 1787 when he camped along the river. He named it after Euclid of Athens, a friend and mentor. Stevens also built a cabin here in 1819. In 1825, General James K. Polk visited Euclid while he was campaigning for president and ordered all settlers out of town because he thought they were aiding Polk's opponentparty members who were living there without permits. After that event, many people left and never returned to live in or around Euclid again until well into the 20th century; however there remain sporadic visits from visitors today due to its interesting history and architecture which has been preserved by several groups including The Euclid Historical Society since 1916 Euclid started as a small post office called White Chapel on July 16th1825 with five residents postulating one room each deep inside what is now First National Bank Building (now part of Brown University). It served as a stop on stagecoaches between Cincinnati and Toledo during those early days before being moved to its current location on May 24th 1830 by mail order catalogue from Philadelphia via Springfield PA In 1833 President Andrew Johnson issued an Executive Order prohibiting slavery within any state boundaries but this order had no real impact other than creating more tension between states over their respective slave systems Euclid became an incorporated village on December 4th1835 with thirty-six citizens registered as voters On November 3rd1840 votes were taken for mayor under new township form with two councilors elected at large instead of directly from each ward . The first school board meeting occurred on January 6th1842 . The first school teacher was Mrs Mary Aiken who taught fifth grade until her death in 1865 On October 30th 1861 seventeen residents voted to change their name to Euclid because "the name Washington Township had been too long used unofficially". This vote failed 9-3 Two weeks later three residents removed themselves from membership after learning that they would have to pay $2 per month dues if they desired not be represented
