The Englewood Gun Case company was started in 1915 by John and Florence Engel, who were entrepreneurs in the new industry of gun cases. The company specialized in designing and manufacturing hard-shell cases for firearms. In 1958, the Engel family sold the business to George J. Hennessey of Cleveland, Ohio. Over time, the company became well known for its high quality case designs and innovative design features that made their cases unique and popular among shooters. In 1985, theEngelwood Gun Case company merged with another manufacturer of soft-shell cases, Promatex Corporation. This merger led to a more consolidation of the industry as both companies began producing similar types of cases but with different branding and products names (e.g., Promatex Soft Shell Cases). In 2000, Promatex merged with another gun case manufacturer, Bulldog Industries Incorporated (BI), creating one large national case manufacturing organization (NCO). today’s Englewood Gun Case company is one of several major NCOs in thisindustry. Today’s Englewood GunCase company produces a wide variety of soft-shell case designs including those designed specifically for handguns (Tanto style models) as well as those made to protect other firearms such as rifles or shotguns (.243 caliber barrels). Some classic logo engravings seen on many Englewood Soft Shell Cases are “The Three Musketeers” NRA emblem & “Patriots Always Ready” motto; these patterns remain popular even 50 years after they appeared on our products! The Englewood Gun Case Company was founded in 1887 by John W. Engle and his brothers, Harry and Frank. The company made cases for handguns, shotguns, rifles and ammunition. In 1916, the company merged with the Hennepin Arsenal Company to form the Minneapolis Arms Corporation. The merger led to a decline in production at the Minneapolis Arms Corp., but it continued to make case products until its bankruptcy in 1942. In 1969, the company was purchased by Colt Firearms Incorporated and continues today as Colt Manufacturing Co.,Inc.
Englewood is a town in the Fayette County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,871 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbus, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Englewood settlement was founded in 1792 by John Engle and his wife Sarah Sprague. The town was named after Newark Township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, where Englewood had been born in 1752. In 1812, two years after the United States acquired Florida from Spain for $2 million, Congress passed an act to give land to "all who may be interested" in that territory; among those included Englewood Township. The township's boundaries were enlarged by adding adjacent townships of Bedford and Delaware on November 2, 1818. In 1830–31 (the final year of Reconstruction), Union soldiers burned down a house belonging to Ebenezer Stowe and other residents of Newark Township because they refused to leave their homes to join Confederate forces during the American Civil War. This incident is memorialized on what is now called "The Drive", located just south of present-day Englewood along State Route 422 near its intersection with State Route 514A (formerly US 340). An early settler named John Stout built a cabin on what is now milepost 33 on the old alignment of US 422 north of town while he was still living west of Newark Junction in Bedford Township then part of Delaware County according to one source but miles east-northeast of today's town center on state route 422 between mileposts 30 and 31 according to another source. () In 1836–37 when US 322 was being widened as part of the Erie Canal project across central Ohio it crossed over into Bedford Township from Delaware County via Old Mill Road which led southeast from modern day Englewood into what is now Jennings Township then north into Delaware County again before reaching its junction with SR 422 about midway through today's town center at milepost 31 approximately halfway between current day Dutch Elm Rd./SR 422/old mill road & Shellsburg Rd./SR 422 about midway between latter & current day Dutch Elm Rd./SR 423 about midway between both extant roads ()) According to one source Bradley resident James Haggerty donated land east/southeast from Rogersville along modern day SR 421 (now I-670) Noted author Edward Cady phonedRogersville Historical Society Aug 2009 asking if anyone knew where Haggerty stood up until that point () One account has James Haggerty walking south onto I-670 from Rogersville towards Tuscarora Dam following modern day SR 421 which would have taken him past present day Dutch Elm Rd./SR 423 John Stout's Cabin still stands today just south off state highway 422 just past Shellsburg RD

Englewood, Ohio is a town in the U.S. state of Ohio, located on the southern edge of Dayton proper. The population at the 2010 census was 21,592. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown–Daytona Metropolitan Statistical Area and is included in the Columbus metropolitan area. The first Englewood residents were white men from New England who had come to work on farms in what is now central Dayton County in 1810. In 1819, they founded a town called Englewood after their home village inengleshire, England. The name was chosen because it seemed to be auspicious and its location near other English settlements made it an attractive place to live and do business. The first post office was established in 1824; however, it would not open until 1829 because of lack of patronage from neighbors who preferred to send mail through Cincinnati or Cleveland instead. The first store opened date unknown but likely sometime between 1830-1832 by John Pugh (the founder of Pughs Furniture). By 1840, there were 10 businesses operating in Englewood with a population of 100 people! In 1863 when Union General William Tecumseh Sherman captured Fort Donelson on Tennessee's Cumberland River he ordered his troops burned down all remaining homes and businesses within sight as reprisal for Confederate forces burning down Burnside's headquarters at Chattanooga two years earlier! This event forever marked Englewood as one of America’s most devastated communities due to Sherman’s scorched earth policy during the American Civil War era! Today remnants of homes and businesses can still be seen scattered throughout much of town center – an indication that this once thriving community experienced some serious destructive damage during that time!
On July 1, 1801, Englewood (then known as Hubbardstown) became a part of the United States. The first U.S. post office was established in this town on that date.
