The earliest records of gun lights can be found from 1907 when two men fromEnglewood started selling oil lamps with revolving arms that could be used for target practice or shooting competitions at local fairs and festivals (Harrison). From then until World War II there was virtually no change in how these devices functioned other than their design being adapted to reflect different uses such as artillery fire control or night gunfire support (Fowler). Gun lights continued to be used for target practice and competition into the late 1800′s into the early 1900′s (Harrison). Englewood is a city in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,972 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland metropolitan area. Englewood is named after George Englewood, one of the first white settlers in what would become Stark County. The town developed around two railroads: the Stroudsburg and Erie Railroad and the Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railway. The townsite of Englewood was chosen for its location on a right-of-way connecting both railways. On December 12, 1868, when construction began on both lines, the town had only 1 person living there: C.L. Halesworth Sr., who bought land from John Lennon and his brother Randy Ewing to build a home for himself and his family. When these railroad men died young without leaving children behind to take care of their properties, many others followed suit; by 1876 there were over 25 people living in Englewood The townsite grew rapidly thanks to its location on two important transportation routes - as well as its ability to connect with other nearby villages through various roadsides crossings In 1877, when steamboats started arriving daily at Lake Erie's "Ferry Landing" dockyard for shipping passengers across the lake (the first such landing in Ohio), locals started calling the docks "Englewoods". By 1899 more than 10 businesses used Ferry Landing - most notably a bakery operated by Fannie Lou Hamer which became known as "The Hamer Bakery", still open today It wasn't until 1907 that Englewood got electricity – via an overhead wire brought over from Cleveland - making it possible for citizens to do things like buy radios and TVs even while they slept! Englewood is located in Summit County on the border of Cleveland and Akron. The area that would become Englewood was first settled by Native Americans in the early 17th century. In 1801, General George Washington leased land from the Ottawa tribe for a site for a military post on the American frontier. The town name derived from "engal" (a type of corn) because so much of what later became Englewood was donated to him by his generals as part of their gift to America during the War for Independence. In 1803, General Anthony Wayne founded Delaware: an agricultural village near present-day Englewood adjacent to Wayne's estate on Canfield Lake; Delaware grew into what is now known as Englewood and served as an important hub for trade between neighboring villages until it disbanded in 1827 when all but two of its members seceded from Ohio to form Illinois under Andrew Jackson's presidency. During World War II, many factories were built within or near Englewood including Convair Aircraft Company (later Pratt & Whitney), Alcoa Aluminum Works (now Alcoa Inc.), United States Steel Corporation, and Maytag Electric Companies; these companies are now defunct or have been merged into other companies. One notable industry that did not take off due to wartime restrictions is motorcycling which did not exist until after 1945 when more regulations were put into place following World War II prohibiting most private ownership of motorcycles without special permission from government officials such as Military Intelligence Service inspectors). On October 15th 1951 small fire burned down entire block east side street in front home belonging to Mrs Hickey killing her 2 children ages 5 months old and 9 years oldud leaving wife Mrs Hickey widow age 49 years attending funeral services today

In 1907, a water tower was erected on Park Avenue andEnglewood began receiving water from the Ohio River. In 1911, an electric street light system was installed inEnglewood and continued to be used until 1954. In 1916, Harrah’s Casino opened on Park Avenue near Third Street and quickly became one of Englewood’s most popular tourist attractions. On November 4th, 1929 – only days before World War II – Englewood experienced its first tornado outbreak when a powerful storm swept through the area causing extensive damage including 45 homes that were destroyed or damaged beyond repair. It is believed that this event may have been caused by an unspecified “natural disaster” which also struck other nearby towns during that fateful month
