The CommodoreHolster Company continued to make holsters until its bankruptcy in 1935.

Elyria, Ohio is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 8,471 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Mentor metropolitan area. Elyria was founded in 1812 and became a county seat in 1824. The village of Elyria was incorporated as a town in 1865 and became an independent city in 1997. The history of Elyria began with two families who chose to settle on the site of what would become Elyria after hearing about a grant from President James K. Polk that would help relocate American Indians from their land east of the Allegheny Mountains to west of them. Construction on the first store started in 1812 and by 1814, there were four stores operating within the limits of present-day Elyria proper; one each on Main Street (now State Route 6), Mound Road (now Old Highways 9 and 11), and Douglas Road (now Elmira Avenue). A post office was established at what is now downtown Elyria on December 17, 1815; it continued until March 14, 1865 when it closed due to Indian Removal policy then being implemented by president Andrew Johnson. Unfortunately for these early settlers, not all their hard work paid off as they experienced little success with farming or timber production despite numerous grants/promotions from various federal officials including secretary of war James Buchanan III (the man later credited with helping create Cleveland) because Indian hunting grounds had been reserved for more powerful tribes like the Shawnees and Potawatomi rather than for small farmers like themselves. In 1824 Elyria became the county seat when Stark County was created from Huron County following its creation during the Jacksonian Revolution which demonstrated America's growing power while also undermining Native American autonomy dating back centuries. However while many people viewed this move as good news given that rural areas were neglected under Harrison Gray Otis' administration prior to his presidency, some felt that eastern Ohio should have remained unincorporated since it lay outside of newly formed Stark County's boundaries which made annexing it difficult if not impossible due to opposition from influential citizens such as prominent local attorney John Pemberton who saw himself as representing all those living within its borders regardless of race or ethnicity thereby ensuring coffers filled quickly with tax dollars instead of benefiting any specific community or class thereof. In reality few residents actually moved away during this time period since most relocated either because they found new opportunities or simply grew tired of living nearandalous government officials whose antics frequently frustrated them but did nothing to improve their lives materially speaking aside from increasing property values within their community courtesy~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~of political patronage which often only benefited those too powerful politically or financially toChallenge authorities directly however even this didn't last long as soon thereafter elected officials turned out primarily rich men willing to rubber stamp whatever decisions wealthier friends made without much input other than attending major eventssponsored by big business interests thereby perpetuating venal government power structures that continue unabated today
