The history of expandable mount systems in East Liverpool, Ohio dates back to at least the early 1920s. At that time, there was only one small business in the area that provided these types of mounts: The Arsenal Equipment Company. The company manufactured a variety of expandable mounts that were used for a number of different purposes, including artillery and rifle turrets. In the 1930s, however, Arsenal discontinued its production of expandable mounts. After Arsenal's shutdown, few other businesses continued to produce these types of mounts. However, over time some companies began to develop new expandable mount systems. One such company was United Manufacturing Company (UMC). UMC produced two Types I and II expanding mounts for use on artillery platforms. These mounts were designed to allow for increased mounting space on both sides of an artillery platform. UMC's expanded mount system proved successful and it was later adopted by other companies throughout the country. As expansions became more common in society, new designs and models were created for Expandable Mount Systems. Some of these newer designs included those developed by Raytheon Corporation and Brownell & Co., Inc.. These new designs allowed for even more expansion potential than those produced by UMC and helped make extending an artillery platform become increasingly popular across America during the late 20th century.

East Liverpool is a small town in central Ohio, located on the Scioto River. The population was 4,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Miamisburg, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community emerged as a trading post and mill town in the 1830s on the east bank of the Scioto River near present-day East Liverpool High School. Indiana Territory was organized into Indian Territory in 1836, and by 1840 East Liverpool had become part of what would become Cleveland County. The first school in East Liverpool was built in 1835. In 1837, George Harkins opened agradery and sawmill here. By 1840, there were six stores and two banks in town; three cooperatives operated mills: J & G Thompson's gristmill (founded 1841), Fenton Mill (founded 1845), and Pemberton Mill ( founded 1850). At about this time, Mexico began to send large shipments of cotton to Cleveland for textiles after gaining independence from Spain in1821. The United States became interested in cotton production because it offered an alternative to British slave labor for manufacturing goods such as ships' sails and guns. To produce more cheaply than slaves, America imported Africans as early as 1793 but did not start producing cotton until 1795; slavery continued until 1865 when it was abolished nationwide by President Abraham Lincoln via proclamation.. In 1840–41, surveyor Simeon Ewing visited many towns along the Scioto River before making his report that recommended new sites for western New York Railway companies’ racetracks on lands now within present-day Cleveland County.. When Ulysses S Grant became president in 1868–69 he favored moving westward through Ohio to open up land for railroad building so that southern states could be supplied with cheap labor without having to pay tribute or provide military assistance; however Congress disagreed and funding wasn’t available until 1870.. After receiving $5 million from Andrew Johnson during Reconstruction finance drives of his presidency beginning in 1865–67,[1] James Weldon Johnson developed what would become known as “the Great Lakes Region”[2] which included northwestern Ohio including East Liverpool where he constructed several industrial plants including one at Pemberton Mill which produced munitions used during World War I.[3][4][5][6] During World War II much of these production took place at nearby Wilson Arsenal Ammunition Plant on Trumbull Peninsula where over 1 million rounds were manufactured between 1941 and 1945[7]. In 1970 voters approved a zoning amendment allowing retail businesses within 500 feet of a school; this permitted local residents who did not have access to larger stores elsewhere to shop at local retailers rather than go out into adjacent communities where prices were too high or services were poor.. This change has led to increased competition among local retailers who must offer lower prices or closed operations if they wish continue doing business within their own community… Today many people living within walking distance of schools are educated themselves using public resources like computers/ Internet/ libraries/ museums etc.; while others stay home gathered around televisions watching daytime TV shows
The village of East Liverpool was founded in 1810 as a post office on the southern border of present-day Ohio. The post office was moved to its current location in 1835, and the town of East Liverpool was formed from part of the village. In 1868, East Liverpool became a city and is now the county seat of Kent County.
