From 1916 to 1921, the corporation was sold to Remington Arms Company and from 1922 to 1949 it was a subsidiary of American Firearms Corporation. The revolver grip design originated at Winchester-Hogue Corporation and initially bore the name “Winchester Model 1903” but it became known as the Colt Python after its Manufacture by Colt Firearms Manufacturing Co., Ltd.. The first handguns chambered for this new cartridge were manufactured by both companies in 1913. By 1928, however, Colt had become sole producer of Python pistols while Winchester continued production of Model 1903 revolvers until 1939 when they were discontinued altogether due to World War II military demand for firearms that could fire only ammunition made under license from Colt Firearms Manufacturing Co., Ltd.. East Cleveland is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1814 as the village of East Cleveland Heights by landowner John Adams and his brother-in-law, David Denny. In 1870–71 when milk prices were high due to an overproduction crisis caused by bad rains during winter wheat harvest season across most Midwestern states, local farmers offered their cows' milk for sale at low prices to consumers throughout Cincinnati and other urban areas; this led to East Cleveland becoming one of first cities in America to adopt a cow milk system. In 1907–08 when large investments were made in heavy industry within miles radius including breweries, mines etc., many families moved into east side neighborhoods such as Mayfair or Grand Central Station because it was easier than staying near manufacturing plants located Downtown which could offer no affordable housing options for those making less than $50 per week after rent.
