Dublin, Ohio is a town in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,814 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cuyahoga County. The first settler in Dublin was John Lennon who arrived there on July 12, 1811. He and his family were the only Europeans to ever live in the village that would later be called Dublin. The town was platted on August 17, 1825 by Colonel George Brown with a population of 350. On February 20th, 1827 it became part of the newly created Miami–Illinois Railway Company and thus saw increased development as railroads came through town. Railroad brought many residents to Dublin for work and also opened up new opportunities for business growth that continues to this day On December 8th 1890 – just three weeks after Cincinnati had become an incorporated city – Dublin's first post office opened with mail service from downtown Cincinnati providing two days per week service In 1922 a fire destroyed most of downtown Dublin but not before starting a building boom which has continued to this day with several new buildings being constructed every year since then
