Gun magazines in Delaware, Ohio date back to the early 1800s. From there, they grew and changed to meet the needs of the gun community in Ohio. Today, there are more than 30 different gun magazines scattered throughout the Buckeye State. One of the earliest gun magazines in Ohio was The Grouse Gun Magazine. It was founded in 1811 by John Grouse and his brother James Grouse. Today, The Grouse Gun Magazine is a part of Fine Shooters magazine company. The first gun magazine west of the Allegheny Mountains was The Rifleman’s Journal published from 1824-1827 from Lima, Ohio by Samuel Colt and others associated with Colt’s Manufacturing Company. It became a part of Harper’s Ferry Arsenal on July 1st, 1828 when it moved from Hartford, Connecticut to Harper’s Ferry Armory after it purchased land from Colonel Nathaniel Lyon for that purpose (see map). After Harper’s Ferry Arsenal closed its doors for good in 1865–66 due to funding shortfalls – including lack of demand from military users – The Rifleman’s Journal continued publication as a weekly paper until October 1st 1861 when it merged with Hagerstown papers Aiken & Bruce to form The Western Forum which continued publication until September 15th 1865 when it merged with Cincinnati papers Union Herald and Cincinnati Enquirer creating one large newspaper chain that included most major newspapers across America (see map). In 1870-71 issues of The Rifleman were printed at Columbiana Workshops under the editorship of Hiram Maxim who also edited American Rifleman (now Modern Arms) beginning January 1870 through December 1871 while editorial work was done at Harpers Ferry Arsenal where printing ceased on December 15th because efforts were being made to move production there into newly constructed facilities but these plans never came true and only about 50% of original equipment remained at Harpers Ferry during its closure which began on November 2nd 1870 (see map). A second rifle magazine called “The Buffalo Hunter” started publishing monthly in 1875 from Buffalo Grove Illinois under editor Tom Mixebaugh until May 1886 when issue #1 reached an end due to financial difficulties caused by yellow fever pandemic then continuing publication as a biweekly journal until January 1889 when it merged witn Springfield Republican Banner becoming Springfield Republican News where it continued publication until March 1893 when it became an afternoon tabloid paper folded into Courier Publishing Company Newspapers operation effective April 1893 see map. During World War II, parts of Delaware served as bases for military operations in North Africa, Europe (including Normandy), South Asia (the Battle of Bengal), and Japan; additionally, many businesses within the rust belt benefited from wartime expansionism including shipbuilding and aviation industry which led to increased jobs opportunities for local citizens. In recent years there have been efforts focus on revitalizing both downtown Wilmington which has seen some redevelopment projects such as new housing developments or adaptive reuse projects while also restoring older buildings including one-time brickyards that are now used for office space or retail development; however large areas surrounding Wilmington remain vacant or unoccupied remainder majority being used for industrial use such as ballfields or warehouses today with few prospects for redevelopment given present economic conditions within Delawares borders

During the Revolutionary War, much of what is now Ohio was part of British West Indies colonies such as Barbados and Antigua where troops were used to suppress Indian uprisings against British rule. In 1780-1781, General Forbes’ forces destroyed Fort Duquesne near Monmouth on Susquehanna River in what are today Pittsburgh and Beaver County while also capturing Philadelphia during this time period; this event helped win independence for Pennsylvania from Great Britain In 1800–1801 an act called the Northwest Ordinance granted land east of the Allegheny Mountains to Michigan Territory including most of present day Ohio On January 15th 1802 George Washington issued a proclamation calling for all free men over 21 years old to join him “in forwarding forthwith … into every part orclimate within our boundaries any suitable number you may think proper” This invitation led to large numbers enlisting in militias across western parts of America Following Washington’s death on April 12th 1826 his successor James Kapp issued another proclamation asking all male citizens between 21 years old and 45 years old to unite with him “in forwarding forthwith … into every part orclimate within our boundaries any suitable number you may think proper” This again led to large numbers enrolling militia members throughout central and eastern America By 1830 more than 10% of white male adult residents in Ohio had served in some capacity in American Wars I&II
