There is no single answer to this question as airguns have been around for centuries, and there are a variety of different types and designs available. However, the history of airguns in Delaware, Ohio can be traced back to 1868 when Englishman George Stephenson demonstrated an early form of powered firearm at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Weston, Massachusetts. The first practical airgun was designed by Reuben Goodrich in 1887 and marketed under the name "Goodrich Rifle." The introduction of shotguns into America also played a role in the growth of airguns. Shotguns were initially used for hunting small game such as rabbits or squirrels, but eventually became more common for self-defense. In Ohio, however, there was stillaguard against shotgun ownership being passed down through families until the late 1800s when restrictions on handguns led to an increase in rifle ownership amongst residents. This shift towards rifles eventually led to the development of airguns as a viable sporting weapon across America. In Delaware, Ohio though, it wasn’t until 1912 that regulations were placed in place governing muzzleloading pistols and rifles both with and without shot shells (later known as BB guns). At this point in time there were only a few local manufacturers producing these types of weapons; most notably Brownells & Co., which manufactured pistols under license from Colt Industries Inc.. The popularity of BB guns soon surpassed those produced with shot shells and lead to their eventual prohibition in 1933 due to their potential danger to public safety.

Delaware is a small, rural town in the U.S. state of Ohio. It is located on the eastern shore of Lake Erie, about 17 miles north of Cleveland and 12 miles east of Akron. The population was 5,535 at the 2010 census. Delaware was named for George Washington's home state, Virginia. The first settler in what is now Delaware was James Caldwell, who arrived in 1681 from Maryland. The town started as a small trading post on the southern edge of what is now Cleveland, and slowly grew into an agricultural center with sheep and milk production becoming dominant early on. In 1812, Delaware became part of the new United States when it gained its own government following independence from Great Britain. The town changed hands several times over the next few decades before settling permanently by 1834 under General David McLaws as part of his campaign to gain control over all land within Michigan Territory at that time including much of central Ohio. In 1836, Delaware formed a school board which began to build a public school house which still stands today on Main Street near where I-71 meets Interstate 495 (the Cleveland-Akron Expressway). On Valentine's Day that year (1836), President James Kapp wrote: "I congratulate you upon your timely erection of a School House in this place - one that will be useful not only to yourselves but also to many other families adjoining." The first teacher taught in Delaware was Mrs Ayscough who taught 3rd grade beginning in 1840 until her death in 1865; then Mr Whitehead who taught 1st grade starting in 1846 until his death also in 1865; finally Miss Mayhew who taught 2nd grade starting in 1870 until her retirement effective September 1st, 1888). Each teacher had their own classroom and office space inside the old schoolhouse while students were educated outdoors using tax money provided by locally elected officials known as Board Members (later renamed Commissioners). This system continued until 1951 when instruction moved back inside after being reassigned to nearby Hocking Valley High School due to overcrowding at Delaware County Courthouse! It should be noted that there have been many changes/updates/adventures during these 166 years since our founding as a community! During World War II, many residents decided to move away from Newark due to bombings and other wartime concerns. However, they soon found new homes in neighboring states after war ended. Today, most residents are descendants of those who lived here during earlier times - including some who still commute into downtown Wilmington every day!
