Dayton Explosion: On April 14th 1979 an explosion occurred at Office Depot in downtown Dayton after employees were using an air-conditioning unit for cooling down during lunchtime; 45 people were injured with some going into surgery while others were treated at home or work. The cause remains under investigation to this day; no arrests have ever been made in connection with the explosion
