The Dayton Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1892. The first gun club in the city, it met at the home of John P. Jennings. William Crouse, a local lawyer and member of the Dayton Athletic Association, donated $50 to start the club. The first meeting was held on November 3rd. In 1897, the Dayton Rifle and Pistol Club moved from Jennings' home to what is now the Municipal Building on State Street. In 1906, membership reached 100 members and pistols were made available for rent at $1 per month. On October 5th of that year, President Theodore Roosevelt delivered a speech at which he announced new regulations designed to protect firearms owners in America’s capital city. These rules included limits on magazine capacity and required licensing for pistol ownership In 1912-1913, membership increased to 230 members with shotguns being offered for rent at $3 per month each On February 10th 1913 president Woodrow Wilson addressing Congress stated “the American people demand an end to this system of magazine licenses which restricts our citizens’ right to keep armsunsafely their own homes” during his annual message NRA lobbyist Ambrosius Hoehner testified before congress furthering Wilson's point NRA lobbyist Harry Anslinger called Wilson a "armed Ulsterman" after he proposed closing all US Arms dealers without any warning or compensation while also increasing regulation on ammunition sales
Dayton, Ohio is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Hamilton County. The population was $962,821 as of the 2010 census. It is located on the Scioto River and is considered an important manufacturing center for automobiles, tires, appliances, electronics, steel products and other goods. Dayton was founded in 1824 by George Wright and became a town in 1827. The city was founded on April 12, 1907 by John Davenport as the site of what would become Wrigley Field, one of baseball's most famous stadiums. Dayton has been home to both the University of Dayton (founded in 1881) and Cincinnati Bengals football team since 1959. The area now known as Dayton was first settled by Native Americans during the 17th century overrunning parts of present-day Ohio from search for new land to farm or trade with Europeans. For many years it served as part of Northwest Territory under British control before seceding from that territory following the American Revolution in 1776. In 1800, when Ohio became a U.S., it included part of Dayton Township but 2 years later split off into its own township when much larger Ross Township did not want to be annexed into Smallwood Township east of Cuyahoga Falls due to disagreement about water rights (the annexation never took place). When small Ross Township split off again two years later becoming Miamisburg because much larger Miamisburg refused to annex smaller Ross Township which had already left for Perrysburg due to disagreements about water rights also), Dayton joined Miamisburg in this second secession attempt; however this time successfully absorbed all but one block away from Miamisburg becoming what today is known as Downtown Dayton stretching along High Street between Elm Street and First Avenue north/south while eastern portions extending eastward past I-75 south continue as I-475 until they reach US 23 which runs along their southern border just beyond downtown limits In 1824 George Wright moved his family from New York City where he had worked as a bank clerk while also taking classes at Columbia College Preparatory School - now Humboldt University - moving them permanently to what are now called Spring Hill Road and Springfield Avenue within days after receiving news that President James Kapp’s government might sell all Indian land west of Muskingum River including parts surrounding Dayton if it were ever given away through Treaty #14 (this treaty ended regular warfare between Great Lakes Indians and European settlers). On April 12th1827 at 4pm local time Wright founded what would become called "Dayton" after conferring with others involved with founding Transylvania County including Nathan Hale (a Major who helped lead forces against British troops at Battle Of Fallen Timbers) supposedly seeing “a great field open before us richly endowed with every kind imaginable with lots & houses plenty good soil & rich mines” making him an early settler according to some sources his house still stands today on Springhill Road across from Springfield Ave School District office building

The post served as a forward base for American efforts during the Northwest Indian War (1794-1805) against Native Americans living along present day southeastern Ohio Riverfronts. The town was founded on November 15, 1795 when two men named David Cook erected a small cabin on land purchased from Nicholas Allyn Jr., father of Nicholas Allyn III who had helped purchase much of central Ohio fromthe Shawnees under General William Henry Harrison’s orders shortly before his death at Point State Park near Cincinnati on July 4, 1811 aged 44 years old. Dayton became an incorporated village on December 12th, 1898 after being platified as an unincorporated community by trustees appointed by commissioners appointed by Governor John Aiken Sr.. Population growth continued until World War II when tax rates decreased because production shifted from agriculture to munitions manufacturing due to advances made during World War I including new engineering techniques allowing for mass production Of airplanes and tanks; these advances allowed Dayton to become nationally known for its Automotive Manufacturing Center which produced more than 100% unit volume automotive products throughout World War II; this achievement was further solidified through technological advancements during WWII such as development of jet engines which allowed airliners like Boeing 747s and Airbus A320s To fly successfully into Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
