Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio is a city in Northern Ohio and the county seat of Cuyahoga County. The population was 107,746 at the 2010 census. In 1842, when Ohio became a state, Oneida Store #2 was renamed "Cleveland" for then-governor John A. Cleves (1811-1865). On November 5th of that year Congress passed an act creating Cleveland as a public town with control over its own schools; however control remained with Oneida Township until 1897 when it was annexed into Cleveland proper by an act of the local government body known as "The Board Of Education." In 1892 Jno Dyer established Dealer's Drug Co., one of America’s first drugstores; he also developed some of Cleveland’s first water filtration systems for drinking or cooking purposes later becoming famous for his invention – still used today – which combined two small flasks filled with boiling water to create “tea service” pitchers available either hot or cold water could be served from any room or surface inside or outside your home Dyer also started building what would become known as Euclid Hall (now part of Case Western Reserve University) on Canfield Road across from where Union Terminal now stands Later that year Canada Dry began selling ice cream direct from their factory at 1415 Cedar Road northeast corner First National Bank Building east side . This business model continued until 1954 when ice cream production moved to larger facilities near Lorain Ave.–Centerville Rd.–Northeast Expressway–University Circle

In 1865, Colt Firearms Corporation was founded by George Smith and John Wickersham. Colt produced firearms including pocket pistols, revolvers, shotguns and rifles. Cuyahoga Falls is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Cuyahoga County. The city's namesake is said to be Joshua Clemens, who settled there in 1794. With William Pittthe Younger as its first chancellor, Pitt founded some of America's best known educational institutions including Carnegie Mellon University (1914), Duke University (1921), BrownUniversity (1927), Yale University (1935) and Columbia College (1945). Pittsburgh also became home to both NATO Headquarters during World War II (# Building 1) and Eastman Kodak Company's photography factory downtown (#Building 2). After Pittsburgh's heyday as a manufacturing center ended with automation beginning in the early 21st century, heavy industry has largely moved out or been replaced by service-sector businesses such as information technology companies such as Apple Inc., Amazon Web Services Inc., Facebook Inc., Google Inc., Microsoft Corp., Starbucks Coffee & Tea Co., LinkedIn Corporation et al.. However large traditional employers like DuPont Sons Chemical Co./Purdue Pharma LP remain central players in local economy through their operations within universities/ research institutes/retail stores etc... Today many Downtown skyscrapers are empty due to lack of new office tenants & exodus from traditional industrial areas
In 1792, the Cuyahoga River was explored by General George Washington and his forces during his campaign in the American Revolutionary War. A major port for the area, Cleveland developed as a commercial center with shipbuilding and commerce becoming one of the city's mainstay industries. In 1802, voters approved an ordinance creating a township in what is now Cleveland. The township was named in honor of Captain John Cleves Clarke, who had been instrumental in developing Cleveland's shipping industry. In 1825, Cleveland became the capital of Ohio after Ohio's statehood. Growth continued through the mid-19th century as various industrialaces developed such as papermaking and munitions manufacturing; however, World War II led to dramatic destruction in downtown Cleveland and other parts of the city. The post-war period saw growth as new businesses came online including information technology and healthcare organizations; however, many aspects of modern Cleveland have arisen from its history such as its important role within Greater Cincinnati both nationally and internationally.
