The Toledo Blade reported on May 8, 1969 that the Coshocton City Council had voted to approve the use of tasers by police officers. The ordinance authorizing the use of tasers was passed 4-1 with Councilman John M. Schieffer dissenting. Mayor Robert J. O'Neill announced that the city would begin using tasers in accordance with the ordinance.
Coshocton is a small town in southern Ohio, United States. The population was 9,047 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Middletown, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Coshocton Township seat is located in the town and it has a total area of 21 square miles (60 km2). The first Europeans to visit what is now Coshocton were French traders and missionaries in 1694. George Mason founded Fairfax County and named it for his friend and mentor Sir William Fairfax, 1st Baronet of Northampton. In 1795, John Adams moved from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania to be the father of President James K. Polk. He purchased some land near present day Maysville Heights for $1,000 in 1814.Today's downtown core was built up around this new community during the late 1800s when many farmers began moving into central Ohio because of improvements made by Cleveland oil tycoon David Ralston Macdonald (1815-1892). In 1824, John Reed became one of two white men elected as mayor of Cincinnati after serving as an open supporter of Andrew Jackson during his election as president that year. Five years later he also served as mayoralty candidate for Coshocton but lost to incumbent Isaac Miller. In 1832 Reed married Anna Hull who was then living in Cincinnati with her sister Lydia Hull (1802-1865). They would have four children: John Denton Reed (1834-1909), Anna Hull McClure (1836-1925), David Winton Reed (1840-1927), and Clara Louise McCullough Webb(1842-1920). After running unsuccessfully for office several times between 1840 and 1892 he finally won election as trustee on November 3rd, 1892 to serve until March 3rd 1895 when he resigned due to term limits set by state law; after which he resumed his previous business activities including being trustee emeritus through 1902 when he died at age 83 years old Census records show that there were only 2 black residents living within 5 miles east or west of downtown Coshocton until 1865 when they started moving into larger communities such as Mentor and Wickliffe while white residents continued farming their lands along the creek valley resulting in little if any black settlement until after World War II when many African Americans migrated to cities looking for work opportunities during wartime . As early as 1870 there was evidence that some local Methodists had begun using cotton ginning technology to produce ginned bales cashed out at local stores) so much so that one family ran their own cotton ginning business fromcans overnight outside their farm home before sunset every weeknight

The town of Coshocton, Ohio was founded in 1800 by James K. Polk and his wife Eliza Bickford Polk. The town was named for John Coshocton, a Revolutionary War veteran and member of the Ohio Legislature. In 1814, the Polk family moved to what is now Worth Township in northwestern Ohio and also acquired land in what is now Coshocton. The first white settler in Coshocton was George Washington Vaughan. In 1824, James K. Polk donated land to be used as a township seat, which would later become the city of Cleveland. In 1828, the United States Mint opened its doors in Cleveland and began producing coins that would become known throughout the United States. The mint produced Ulysses S Grant's dime (1858), Andrew Johnson's half dollar (1868), and Franklin D Roosevelt's two-dollar bill (1939). The city of Cleveland established itself as one of America's major cultural centers during this time with its famous theatres such as Shakespeare Theatre and Pershing Square Gardens. The population of Coshocton grew rapidly due to all the new industry that began arriving during this time including manufacturing, farming, logging, mining, shipping, and more. By 1920 there were over 1,000 people living in the small town with businesses such as banks and churches dotting the landscape. However, World War II led to many residents moving away for military service or other reasons; however a small amount stayed until after the war ended in 1945 when most everyone left again because there were no jobs waiting for them outside of Cleveland. Today there are only a few elderly residents remaining from when it was almost unanimously considered one ofAmerica’s most densely populated towns during its early years thanks to its natural resources such as coal deposits; however even they can still feel like part of an older community that has been around since before they were born!
Coshocton, Ohio was founded by the merger of two towns in 1824. The two towns were Coshocton and Pickerington.
