One important note about gentrification however should be noted that while certain aspects may change (e.g.: increased prices charged for basic services) generally speaking wealthier individuals tend not to move into poorer neighborhoods so much anymore(((). Cleveland Heights is a census-designated place in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. The population was 20,651 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greater Cleveland area and is considered to be one of the most highly elevated areas in North America. The area has been inhabited by Native Americans for centuries, and was first settled by English colonists in the late 17th century. In 1812, Cleveland became a state capital; after that it grew rapidly as an agricultural center and served as the main city of Ohio until it lost its status as a major American port to Detroit in 1921. Since then, Cleveland Heights has experienced dramatic growth as an affluent suburb of Cleveland. The name "Cleveland Heights" was given to the neighborhood by early settlers who were looking for a place where they could raise their families without fear of being attacked by Indians or other settlers from neighboring towns. The first permanent settler in what would become called Cleveland Heights was Nicholas Biddle, who purchased land east of present-day Euclid Avenue and north of Villa Park Road in 1796. By 1800, Biddle had developed what would become known as “Old Town” on Robert Street between Superior Avenue and Lake Erie Boulevard; this section still retains some features from Biddle’s original settlement including three churches (St. James Episcopal Church (founded1802), Congregationalist Church (founded 1815) and Baptist Church (founded 1827)), two stores (Fenway House tavern (opened 1805), now occupied by Steakhouse Johnny's restaurant), four homes and six acres (.8 km²) of ground which he donated to the town for public use…Most residents here originally hailed from eastern England where many had landed during Queen Anne’s reign seeking refuge from religious persecution on British soil…." By 1830, much of Old Town had been destroyed by fire but parts remained standing including Fenway House Tavern which became home to Judge Samuel Tilden’s law office until it burned down in 1833; today you can find fragments of both buildings still extant inside Fenway Park.– According to Anthony Trollope’s novel Heart Of Darkness: A Tale Of Empire And Rebellion: “In 1830 much […]of Old Town […]had been destroyed […]but parts remainedstanding including Fenway House Tavern […]which became home […]to Judge Samuel Tilden’s law office until it burned down [...]Today you can find fragments […]of both buildings still extant inside Fenway Park." A year later another historic building also burned down – this time around King Street near Mentor Road – but this did not stop Judge Tilden from continuing his legal work at Fenway House Tavern which stood until 1840 when judge John Gwynne moved into his own house nearby on Superior Avenue with his family.- In 1850 Anthony Trollope moved into what is now Logan Square– Now known as Midtown Northeast – right next door to where Judge Tilden once sat.– Many famous people lived here such as Andrew Carnegie whose steel mills were located just south on Sandusky Bayou., George Washington Carver who operated a grocery store across the street from Midtown Northeast before moving upriver towards Ravenna while still living at Oneida Island., Thurlow Weed who ran one side business off Third Street near High School before becoming head treasurer of New Yorkstate.; Today there are several businesses that have originated out of this old district like Foot Locker happening right next door on West Side Highway
