The history of the Circleville Gun Target is one that dates back to before Ohio even became a state. In 1806, General Washington and his army invaded what is now Kentucky and Tennessee. Along the way they discovered Native American villages and fortresses that were used as target practice by the tribal chiefs. One of these fortresses was located near present-day Circleville. When the Americans got closer, they realized that many of these targets were not actual cannons but instead simple stone arches or huts with loopholes in them for firing arrows at. The generalissimo, George Washington himself, decided to take some test shots at one of these arches on July 4th, 1806. His shot hit its mark and caused no fatalities or damage! It was later determined that this particular cannon had been moved from its original site to become part of Fort Pitt in Pittsburgh because it could no longer be used for target practice due to how inaccurate it was. In 1814, when Ohio became a state, landowning families in rural areas started buying shotguns and handguns for their own use. As more people across the country transitioned from using bows and arrows to using firearms, Targets began popping up all over Ohio as places where individuals could go shoot shells off firearms without having anyone come down to watch them (or worse). There are still active Targets around today in various locations throughout Greater Cincinnati including: Old Courthouse Square downtown; Liberty Hill Park; Sawmill Creek Park east of Cincinnati proper; Eden Township community center north of Cleveland; White Oak Lawn neighborhood east of Dayton; Beechwood Village community center south-east of Covington Heights; et al.) As gun culture grew more widespread within America during the 19th century, Targets started becoming popularized as well. By 1900 there were so many Targets open statewide that NRA member Jack Huffman created an online map listing all participating traps located around each county seat within Ohio’s borders – proving just how popular target shooting really was at this time! Today there are over 2200 Traps located throughout Ohio’s Appalachia region alone!

In 1892, Circleville became the first town in Ohio to pass a gun control ordinance. The law regulated the sale and possession of firearms, and it was also an important step in ensuring that all citizens had access to safe handguns. In 1907, Circleville passed its second gun control ordinance, which tightened up regulations on ammunition sales.
Circleville is a town in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,831 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron-Canton, OH-MI Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was established in 1814 and named after Circleville, Virginia. It began as a village and then became a borough in 1836. As a township in 1868, it became a city. In 1907 it merged with the neighboring towns of Uniontown and New Palestine to form the new City of Circleville. The merger was considered controversial because it excluded Uniontown's large African American community from cityhood while including New Palestine's white population. The city lost its status as an incorporated municipality in 1973 but has remained an unincorporated place within Muskingum County since that time. According to the United States Census Bureau, Circleville has a total area of , all land. As of the census of 2010, there were 1,831 people residing in the town: 653 (30 percent) were male and 771 (60 percent) female; 2 children lived with their parents during childhood; and 3 adults (1 man and 2 women) worked full-time outside the home for income or pleasure withoutdependency on government assistance or support services such as healthcare or food stamps

In 1872, Rifleman George Armstrong Memorial bought a large piece of land near Sharpsburg, Virginia for use as a rifle range. This provided the opportunity for people to take aim at real or replica guns while they shotat birds and other small game on the property. The Rifle Brigade’s volley practice became so popular that there were calls for targets to be put up all over London as early as 1865. In 1892, the National Firearms Act made it legal for Americans to purchase rifles and shotguns without having any prior training or experience. This led to increased shooting activity across the country and eventually led to the growth ofgun culture across America.
Circleville, Ohio is a small town in northeastern Ohio that is best known for its Circleville Coke Bottling Company. The company was founded in 1875 by John A. Patterson and his brother-in-law, Jacob McNeely. The company produced over one million gallons of Coca Cola per year before it closed in the early 1990s. Today, the building where the company was founded still stands as a museum. The town of Circleville first emerged as a trading post on the Great Miami River near present-day Cincinnati. In 1814, General Andrew Jackson made an attempt to cross the river and enter Kentucky from the east side; he was successful only after days of suffering from hunger and thirst. This event is generally considered to be when Ohio became part of the United States. After Jackson's victory at Mill Creek Bridge in 1815, traders began traveling upriver to trade with what would become then Ohio Territory. One such trader was Peter Jennings, who established himself at Jenningsville on the Scioto River in 1797. Jenningsville quickly became a center for education and commerce due to its location close to two major rivers and several canals which facilitated transportation between these areas. In 1830, Jenningsville was renamed Circleville after Cincinnatus Clayborn (1767-1840), whom President James Ketchum called "the father of American education". In 1875, John A. Patterson arrived in Circleville from Mansfield, Ohio with his brother Jacob McNeely and started production of Coca Cola here too!
