This action causes pain because it stimulates nerve cells in your skin to send signals back to your brain saying “I’m feeling something!”

Chillicothe is a small town in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 5,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbus metropolitan area. The first white settler in Chillicothe was John Pemberton in 1811. In 1814, Isaac Taylor purchased land from the Delaware and Western Railroad. He built a cabin on what is now State Route 142 west of town. In 1820, James Kenedy bought land north of town from Taylor. He founded the city of Chillicothe in 1830 on this land. The city charter was granted on October 26, 1830 by Governor George Browning to James Kenedy and his wife Sarah Ann (née Pickett). CHillicothe grew rapidly during its early years and soon had a store, two hotels, three churches and several schools within its walls. By 1840 it contained over 100 residents. During the American Civil War (1861-1865), Chillicothe became one of four Union military towns in Ohio designated as " Military District No 3". This district included all of central Ohio including Chillicothe and provided for military training for local soldiers and their families as well as supplying food for Confederate troops besieging Cincinnati; this law allowed for no public celebration or intermission during the war itself but did allow private property owners to turn into Union military barracks should they choose On December 8, 1865, after much debate among legislators representing different parts of Ohio over whether or not to secede from the Union due to frustration with Lincoln's eight-year rule—and after more than 1 million men had volunteered for service in Indiana Territory—charter members convened at Springfield's State House to ratify a new Constitution which would create seven states: Delaware (now Richmond County), Illinois (now DeKalb County), Indiana (now Terre Haute County), Kansas (Now Wichita County), Maine (Now Brunswick County), and Ontario (now Ottawa County). On January 6th following ratification by state legislatures across all seven states as well as Canada,[1] Chillicothe became an incorporated village under $500 per capita tax levied according to former Mayor Wm Halsell’s plan[2][3] with approval from then–Governor Andrew Johnson[4][5]. A fire destroyed most of downtown business at about 4 p.m., Elinor Smith being one casualty; however full recovery began immediately with help from six Methodist churchmen who set up tents along Main Street while others erected wagons along Park Avenue side.[6] With Emancipation Proclamation effective on May 15th 1865,[7][8][9], chillicothes citizens were able to celebrate both freedom AND independence! Although some felt that post-war Reconstruction efforts could have been better executed[10], overall life went back to normalcy quickly enough that today many consider it “the forgotten community” while still classifying it separately from other times such as during World War II when nearby Dayton saw an influx of refugees/invaders seeking work opportunities

The town's unique architecture, including the Masonic Temple and the first public library in Ohio, continue to be popular tourist attractions today.
Chillicothe was founded in 1787 by George Washington and his brothers. The city became a national capital of the United States in 1801. In 1907, Chillicothe was merged with Toledo to form the Toledo-Chillicothe Combined Statistical Area.
