AAF sponsored national championships in individual events such as archery (muzzleloader only), longbow (multi-shot), waterfowl hunting (feathered or unfeathered), airgunning (pellet guns only), Archery at large contests etc. patronage from AAF members helped establish several amateur sporting organizations across America including Olympic Archery Federation(OAF) in 1912; Amateurs division of International Shooting Union(ISU) in 1922; United States Olympic Committee(USOC) Amateur Sports section from 1934 until 1972; National Sporting Goods Association(NSGA)in 1984-.
Celina is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, located in the Celina and Maumee valleys on the eastern side of the Great Lakes region. The population was 25,724 at the 2010 census. Celina is one of several communities in The Parma-Muncie-Bedford Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had a total population of 144,186 as of July 2017. The first settler in what would become Celina was John Tappan, who arrived from New Netherland on October 12, 1792. Tappan founded a log cabin near present day Trade Mart Boulevard and I-75 south of town on what is now called "Tappan's Landing". In 1801 David Hackett settled at what would become known as "Hackett's Mill" on Hackett's Run east of town; this site later became part of the city limits. In 1803 Joseph Park bought 640 acres (248 hectares) northwest of town from George Stephenson for $8 per acre ($252 per km2). Park developed it into an agricultural center with large landings for corn, beans, peas and other grains; he also built a sawmill and gristmill nearby. In 1805 he sold his holdings to Abraham Lincoln for $8000 cash plus corner lots in town site that would be used as public square/park until 1917 when they were donated to Celina Township by Abraham Lincoln’s widow Lucy Lincoln (now Lucy Ladd). A post office was established at Celina on February 20, 1807; its first owner was Gideon Herndon (). It continued operation until it was discontinued November 1, 1830 due to lack of customers. A store opened at Celinda on October 11th 1840 by Jno Adams (). Two churches were built here: First Presbyterian (1841), then Methodist Episcopal (1884). During the American Civil War most residents sided with the Union but some did support Confederate States troops because they thought taxes should not go to those supporting slavery while those fighting against it deserved help. On November 8th 1863 Union Major General David Griers ordered all businesses within five miles (8 km) along served during battle including Mrs Ackerman’s grocery store where many casualties occurred including her husband Captain Henry Ackerman After endof war local citizens gathered supplies needed for reconstruction such as flour possible only available through trade with Canada or imported goods so a train stop was made at old fort existing behind high school today waiting passengers loading woodchips onto Wabash Railroad
