Canton is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Lucas County. The population was 11,827 at the 2010 census, making it the largest city inLucas County. Canton is located on the southern border of Cleveland proper and is bordered by Lake Erie to its south and east, as well as by Portage Lake to its north. The area that now makes up Canton was first settled by Indians in 1795 after a land grant from George Washington. The town site was chosen for its strategic location between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, two main trade partners of the time. In 1801, when the United States acquired what is now Lucas County from Great Britain, Canton became part of Cleveland with a population of 709 people. As one of the communities within Cleveland Township (formed in 1814), Canton played an important role in early civic life and had strong political representation during both Reconstruction and World War II. After years of industrial growth throughout the late 1800s and into the 1920s, however, crime rates began to increase until they reached their current levels around 1970; since then they have slowly declined while job opportunities have steadily increased. Today's skyline includes several high-rise buildings dating back to 1929 including The Guardian building which still remains unoccupied following its purchase by Quicken Loans LLC in 2018 . Two large shopping malls – Onex mall near downtown and Northfield Commons mall – are located just outside Canton proper on I-71/81 highway exits 185A & 185B

Originally designed as a less dangerous alternative to firearms, tasers now enjoy widespread use in law enforcement and corrections facilities across the United States. They are also used by personal security officers and other law-enforcement professionals in self-defense or hostage rescuing situations. Taser technology has been developed over a period of many iterations, making it one of the most complex and versatile weapons in the world. The first tasers were deployed in the early 1990s as a response to efforts by organized crime groups to disable police officers using melee weapons. The initial models were unreliable and quickly became known as “deadly toys” because of their high potential to kill people with them. In 1998, however, an improved version of the taser was adopted that could fire multiple shots at once. This device was nicknamed “Slayer” due to its ability to kill targets up to thirty feet away from the user. After being introduced on patrol cars throughout Texas during 2000-2001, Slayer became available through sheriff's departments nationwide within two years. It soon replaced pepper spray as the primary weapon used by police officers against suspects during arrests and drug raids. Despite its popularity among law enforcement professionals,ields of Tasers remain low overall despite their efficacy in subduing criminals - often leading users into instant death if they are not careful when using them offensively or defensively against assailants or hostages. The National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) has determined that there is no safe level below which someone may become fatally injured with a Taser – regardless of whether they are using it offensively or defensively against assailants or hostages posed danger outside of their control while unarmed: any lethal interaction between an assailant/hostage and a Taser user can result in serious injury or death (1). As such, there remains much work required both from manufacturers and consumers alike to increase awareness about safely using these devices before any further fatalities occur; this includes providing warnings about potential risks before deployment should anyone be troubled by sudden incapacitating pain on contact with electrodes (2).

Canton, Ohio is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the seat of Canton County. The population was 51,695 at the 2010 census, making it the fifth-most populous county in Ohio. It is also one of four cities in the Cleveland metropolitan area and home to many large companies such as Procter & Gamble, Dell Computer, and IBM. The region that now makes up Canton was once part of the Northwest Territory known as Delaware Co., founded by George Washington in 1792. In 1801, when Ohio became a state, it included parts of Delaware Co., including present-day Canton. The town was platted on the site of what is now downtown Canton by James Kapp and other settlers in 1814; it became a city on February 15, 1821 following its incorporation as a village by an act of the General Assembly. By 1830, however, only 4% of its population lived within its limits; during this time frame most growth took place outside its boundaries due to waves of new arrivals from Kentucky and other states (the naturalization process had not yet been completed). That year saw another influx when 3 brothers – Jobnethus Jennings Sr., John Jennings Jr., and Joseph Jennings – arrived from Illinois with their families seeking work opportunities in what were then frontier days. In 1830–31 two additional brother teams came to town: Martin Van Buren’s team led by Peter Cooper ran into some difficulty getting water rights for their well near today’s Union Terminal; they finally obtained them after Pershing offered his services as wrangler for the Indian name given to him befitting his high rank as peace officer for that territory during America’s first war with Native Americans (he had previously served under General Anthony Wayne). And Elijah Hicks organized a wagon loading company which transported goods between Chicago and Cleveland via Akron until 1837 when transportation became available over tracks laid down by Chief Tecumseh Sherman himself at Detroit Lakes Racetrack because he realized how important this new market would become for local farmers who could no longer get produce to market on their own terms due to distance or lack of resources." "Canton's status began slipping during this period as other nearby communities grew larger while its residents increasingly turned towards central business districts such as Cleveland orAkron." "In 1840–41 there was another influx when 2 brothers – David Linton and John Prentice – landed from Indiana looking for work on land grant issued to them by President Harrison." Canton was founded in 1795 by General George Washington and settlers from Pennsylvania. The town became the capital of the Northwest Territory in 1801, and it served as the seat of government for much of Ohio until 1803. In 1813, Canton was placed within the United States following its role in the War of 1812. It grew rapidly during this time and by 1830 had a population of over 20,000. In 1837, Canton became a city and remained so until 1951 when it became part of the Cleveland metropolitan area.
