Cambridge, Ohio is a small town located in Lorain County, Ohio. The population was 9,854 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton metropolitan area. Cambridge was founded in 1812 by Captain Robert Treat Paine and his wife Ann as a hunting and fishing village on the southern edge of what is now Lake Erie. In 1826, Captain Paine donated land to create the Village of Cambridge (later renamed Cambridge Township). A post office called Cambridge was established in 1827, and became an incorporated village in 1829. The township was organized on February 15, 1847 and became a city on December 12, 1896. The city's first mayor was John Denny. On July 1, 1907 it merged with neighboring Akron to form the newly created Cleveland-Akron-Canton metropolitan area. The downtown business district changed hands several times before being purchased by Rubbermaids in 1984 and becoming known as Rubbermaid Plaza. The buildings that once housed rubber companies are now used for commercial purposes such as restaurants, shopslifting services, and other businesses that shuttle between Akron and Cleveland each day during rush hour. Ammunition has been around for centuries, and its history is full of colorful stories. Here we will look at some of the most famous ammunition types and their histories. The first real ammunition was a kind of explosive powder used by the ancient Greeks to shot arrows. It was called Poucha, meaning “bullet” in Greek, and it consisted of five ounces ( 150 grams) of stone, mortarboard or other hard material covered with a cloth or leather bag filled with GUNNELITE (a type of fulminate) or other incendiary material. The arrow could be released by depressing an iron key into the mixture which caused the detonation of the charge within the bowstring and release of the arrow. Armies in Greece used this type of ammunition until about 650 BC when they switched to bronze Arrows. In China however, Arrow Head Explosive Powder began being developed about 400 AD as a way to shoot Longbow arrows that could travel up to 350 yards (300 meters). This projectiles were mostly propelled by hand-thrown stones from longbows drawn from lightweight stocks like those used in medieval war games. The Chinese also developed an improved slow match rifle known as a Fuzi which fired spherical projectiles weighing between 3/4 ounce (.23 grams) and 1 ounce (.28 grams). These rounds were inserted into tubes made from bamboo strips fastened at one end to a post, then pulled back so that fire could be directed towards specific points on battlefields. The tubes would then burst when struck by another round fired from an appropriate weapon such as an arquebus or crossbow

Cambridge, Ohio is located in the eastern third of the United States and has been inhabited by Native Americans for over a thousand years. In 1810, Cambridge was founded as a town by Nicholas and Mary Henshaw. The town grew rapidly due to its location on the National Road, which connected Philadelphia with the rest of America. By 1830, Cambridge had a population of over 1,000 people. In 1837, Cambridge became an incorporated city and began to grow more prosperous. By 1850, it had a population of 5,500 people and was one of the largest cities in Ohio. The city's growth slowed in the late 1800s due to lack of industry and competition from larger towns in Ohio. However, during the 1900s Cambridge experienced significant growth as it became a center for education and industry. The city reached its peak during World War II when it saw significant development in munitions production. However, since then Cambridge has slowly declined as its industries have moved away from their original areas or closed down entirely. In 2000, Cambridge lost much of its importance when Conestoga Mall opened up nearby and replaced most of the city's commercial activity. Today there is only limited retail activity within walking distance of downtown central square where most family-owned businesses still operate
In 1812, Cambridge was founded as the county seat of Washington County by James K. Polk. The town was named for Cambridge, Massachusetts, where George Washington was born in 1732. In 1827, the town became a city and the name was changed to Cambridge Township. The township seceded from Washington County in 1836 and joined Xenia Township in Ross County. In 1907, the township disbanded and its separate government merged with Xenia Township to form Cambridge City-County.
