The Bucyrus Rifle and Pistol Company was a volunteer infantry company of the Union army during the American Civil War. The company was organized on November 12, 1861, in Bucyrus, Ohio, and served under the command of Colonel John A. Dickey. On February 14, 1862, the company moved to Youngstown and began drill exercises with local militia companies. On March 3rd, Colonel Dickey ordered the company to march to Altoona for duty as part of General George Meade's Third Corps. The regiment arrived at Altoona on March 7th and commenced drills with local militia companies. After marching back to Bucyrus that day for night drill, the regiment joined General Meade's corps at Cumberland Gap on April 9th. The regiment fought in several engagements during its stay at Cumberland Gap before leaving for home on May 6th.
