JamesGorman died young without any children to take up the family name and his wife took over the land grant from her husband’s father-in-law to start their own family again with their second son Nicholas Gorman (Nicholas) born Feb 14th 1854 in Westfield Township Neighboring settlements were First Congregational Church which served as both a social center for residents and a religious teaching institution until it burned down around 1870; Second Congregational Church which served as an educational institution from 1865 until 1870 when it burned down too; Third Presbyterian Church which served as a social center until 1905 when it closed due to financial problems; Fourth Presbyterian Church serving as an educational institution from 1905 until 1970 when it closed due to budget cuts; Fifth Presbyterian Church serving as an agricultural community before becoming a city limits neighborhood in 1950; Sixth Methodist Episcopal Zion congregation built in 1906 also became known as “Church of Christ Scientist” soon after services began there on Dec 17th 1906 because of incorporation into Broadview Heights by charter amendment of that name effective that date In 1896 Dr John J Hickey moved from his home at 107 N High Street where he had been living with his widow since 1869 to purchase 640 acres east of what is now Interstate 270 between Summit Road and US Route 20/23 just north of present day Greenlawn Drive He leased this land back to local farmers so that he could perform experiments thereon during winter months while growing crops In 1898 Dr John J Hickey wrote: "I am setting out upon my new enterprise--a farmstead or plantation hereabouts containing 640 acres...This property lying within sight but not reachable by railroad I have chosen for its isolation because I want all possible control over my research work" Independent study ceased due lack of needed resources about two years later following heavy snowfall In 1902 however Hickey sold additional acreage west off I-270 farthest from Greenlawn Drive & resumed operations some time after that This continued operation thru 1971 (& later abandonment) When Hickey's lease expired & farmstead reverted back to public domain broad VIEW point reverted back onto private ownership beginning life under private ownership prior to statehood In 1922 village trustees decided not renew charter amendment enabling City Limits form being created primarily because no development occurred thereafter although Village fathers continued discussions about forming limits QVC park opened 5 years later However official designation changed from "City Limits" to "Broadview Heights" effective Jul 1st 1925 proper boundaries were finally established following exhaustive map survey conducted by late Mayor Wm Dolan Jr & engineer Charles F Skinner

The team played its first game at Municipal Stadium on July 14th against what would later be called "the Buckeyes" (University of Ohio) football team; this event helped spur growth in the town and led to increased development around Municipal Stadium. In 1922, after years of talks between NFL owners and local boosters, city council passed an ordinance allowing professional baseball to be played in broad daylight outside municipal stadium; this event helped lead to rebirth for BroadVIEW HEIGHTS Baseball Club as one of America's most successful amateur baseball franchises. In 1936, following World War II ended and military service began demand for new housing estates increased throughout central Ohio due to postwar inflation; This increase led to redevelopment efforts around University Circle adjacent to Municipal Stadium which included building new homes for residents, Jobsite Park across University Circle from Municipal Stadium where manufacturers made their products during World War II, retail districts near Interstate 75 where shoppers could purchase goods before traveling into central Dayton or Columbus Withdrawn from operation due to lack off funding by owner in 1957-1958
