Brecksville is a city in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. The population was 12,567 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous city in Muskingum County after Dayton. Brecksville was founded as a town in 1827 and became a city in 1907. The present name of the city is honor of General George Washington Breckinridge who fought for American independence and served as Commander-in-Chief of the United States Army during the War of 1812. The original town site was near what is now downtown Brecksville. A new community was organized on land east of what is now Main Street and west of Prospect Avenue to house workers building a canal project by Cincinnati entrepreneur James Peebles. This small Town had only one store, school, post office and two churches before it got caught up in large growth around canal construction that continues to this day with multiple businesses and more than 20 homes since then including several high-rise buildings today! The first settler in Brecksville were Levi Coffin and his family who arrived from Virginia on July 2nd, 1827 when he led wagonloads of goods down Fourth Street from Lancaster to start trading with local farmers for food they grew or gathered on their farms back home. After 3 years living among farmers, Coffin decided to move on due to lack of waterpower available for farming – however he did not forget about his old friends back home so he started another business importing goods made by blacksmiths back east which soon turned into producing his own tools/hammocks here locally too! In 1830 Nathan Carden moved from Philadelphia Heights (now part of Cleveland) to start Coles & Carpenter merchant tailorry which continued until 1865 when all other merchants closed because American cloth prices went up!! When Prices went up again some 15 years later we opened our own store making us oneofthe earliest successful commercial enterprises within this area! During the late 1800’s through early 1900’s there were many factories built within walking distance or right off I-490 such as Eye Glass factory (now known as Gannon Associates), Saginaw Tool company (later part of Owens Corning), J&L Wagon Co., Harriman Mining Company (later Alfred Harriman National Corporation),Agricultural Implement Manufacturing co., etc.– each doing thousands of jobs generating economic activity that spanned across Muskingum County providing many good examples for future entrepreneurs not just based out of cities but also rural areas too! So much has changed over time that it would be hard to list everything but suffice it say that today Brecksville offers an excellent mix economy; great schools; vibrant nightlife; popular tourist attractions like its beautiful river walk; creative arts scenes; diverse restaurants etc.; easy access to both expressway exits while still being close enoughtostraditional retail districts like Short Hills Mall etc.; job opportunities galore without leaving your doorstep!

Brecksville is a city in and the county seat of Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 25,482 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland metropolitan area. The town of Brecksville was founded in 1814 by immigrants from England. In 1825, it became a village. On July 12, 1830, Brecksville incorporated as a city under the name "Breckerville." The town was renamed Dayton in 1839 and again to Breckesville in 1864 because of its location on the eastern edge of Dayton Township. The current name comes from George Washington Carver's suggestion for its new name: "Breckerville after John Breckinridge (1792-1868), one of the senators from Ohio and an opponent of slavery." The first post office opened inBrecksville on October 25, 1824. It served until February 6, 1861 when it was moved to Dayton due to increased Populations there during the Mexican–American War (1846-48). In 1865, Dayton also annexed what are now addresses located south and east of downtown Brecksville - present day Winton Hills and Westlake Heights - making it one municipality with two cities inside its boundaries. Other annexations followed over time: Eastview Heights annexation in 1907; Springdale annexation in 1915; Willow Run annexation in 1922; Broad Ripple annexation in 1943; Mount Pleasant annexation in 1957; South Euclid Annexation effective date unknown but possibly 1973 according to records held by Toledo Municipal Archives In 1963 Brecksville City Council passed a resolution urging that Allentown be annexed into Brecksville because all businesses within walking distance were owned or operated by residents or businesses within our city limits since 1923 without any commercial competition
The city of Brecksville was founded in 1837 by John D. Brecks and his wife, Anna Capps. TheBrecksville post office was established in 1839, and the city was named for him. The first store in town was opened by Wm. Senter in 1840. In 1843, the city built its first schoolhouse. The Brecksville Rifle Club was founded in 1845, and theBrecksville Monumental Ironworks were erected in 1889 to commemorate the city's role as a producer of arms during the American Civil War.
