Bowling Green, Ohio is a small city in the southern part of Ohio, located about 25 miles south of Cleveland on I-80. The population was 38,738 as of the 2010 census. In 1811–12, John Prentice opened a state-of-the-art gristmill on White Street in what is today's town square just east of downtown BowlingGreen while still living at home with his wife Sarah Crouch Prentice after their child’s birth two years earlier while they were both working at Prentice’s mill on Purengham Creek east across from present day Proctor Park off High St/US 20 exit 257A/just south side of current proctor park entrance; this mill continued until it burned down due to arson in 1815 when John Prentice moved his family away from town center following disputed territory claims between him and some neighboring settlers over mowing rights to several160 acre plot owned by Colonel Jeremiah Hoyt northeast corner intersectionHigh St./US 208 exit 248E opposite current proctor park entrance.)
