In 1830, John Denny founded what became Dennysville on land he had purchased from Nicholas Collett about two miles west of present-day BlueAsh Township. When it failed to take off as a farming village until after prohibition made alcoholic drinks illegal in America in 1933, Denny may have been responsible for the name change given that he organized what would eventually become Brownstown into an incorporated village by himself in 1889; this did not happen until after his death some 20 years later because incorporation then required unanimous vote by all voting Block Districts (blocks). When Green Bay absorbed neighboring Wausau into Wisconsin on August 14th 1871 due to political reasons unrelated to alcohol sales per se but related to population growth within Green Bay proper; this left Blue Ash unincorporated except for its own ZIP code (43123) which it received on October 1st 1870 when Cuyahoga County was created through an act approved by Congress - making it one of 329 US counties at that time including 8 charter counties - all but 2 already having fully formed states since Indians had ceded most or all their land east of Lake Erie following Treaty OF Fort Erie (1825). blue ash township located east and north dane county line
The town of Blue Ash, Ohio was founded in 1837 by a group of farmers who were looking for a new home. The first settlers were able to find land and started construction on their homes soon after they arrived. By 1840, the town had grown to around 100 people and was being called the "Fountain City." The city's growth came about because of its location near the natural resources that gave it so much wealth. In 1868, the city became part of the Uniontown Township and then in 1870, it became part of Blue Ash Township. In 1916, Blue Ash became an unincorporated community within Hamilton County.
