Remington Arms Company became a subsidiary of Savage Arms Corporation in 1912. Savage Arms Corporation became a part of Colt Firearms Corporation in 1916. Colt Firearms Corporation was sold to Sturm, Ruger & Co., Incorporated in 1919.

Blue Ash is a city in Ohio, United States. The population was 9,579 at the 2010 census. Blue Ash is located in the Athens-Mauldin-Richmond County metropolitan area and is the county seat of Athens County. The community of Blue Ash was platted in 1814 by Col. John Silliman and named for blue ash trees that he found growing near his home. In 1840, Isaac Hicks bought land in what is now Blue Ash from Colonel John Silliman. He built a log cabin and called it "Hicks' Cabin". blue ash trees were also planted here around this time as well as a sawmill on the Scioto River. In 1851, David Aiken purchased some of Hicks' land and started to build an Iron Ore mine here which became known as Aiken's Mill & Smelter. This mill continued to operate until 1899 when it was closed due to changes in technology. In 1892, Wm Hennings decided to come to Blue Ash and start a grocery store there with his son Walter Hennings Sr.. The store grew quickly into one of the most important businesses in town during its early years. By 1915, Hennings had developed into one of the most successful men in town with his grocery store and tractor dealership/manufacturing business - both businesses still remain active today as part of William Hennings Companies Incorporated (WHC). The post office opened on October 1, 1814, under the name Hicksville; it changed its name to BlueAsh on January 1st of 1865 after becoming an incorporated village within Athens County (). The first postmaster was James Caulfield (). BlueAsh Village originally consisted of only a few homes; however over time more homes were built including: The White House (now apartments), Mrs.(later Mrs.) Ladds', Dr.'s Office Building (), Hawkins Hall (), Mr.(later Mr.) Jenkins', Lumber Yard (), Sawmill ()'. More recent additions include: Wesleyan Chapel (), Home Place ()) which serves as part of Greenbelt Baptist Church., Old schoolhouse () which served as a school from 1886 until 1951 when it burned down., Greendale Oaks (), Apple Tree (. . .) which still stands todayand two other residential areas - New Lexington () and Williamson Heights (). It should be noted that many current day streets or avenues such as Hickory Hollow(), Mockingbird Lane() etc., were not present at this time but have since been added onto the map according to cartography software services like Google Earth or Street View!

In 1870, the village became an independent city when it amalgamated with Middletown to form Dayton. After Dayton became an incorporated city, Blue Ash continued to be one of its largest and most populous municipalities with a population exceeding 15,000 people until 1938 when it lost its seat on the city council to Middletown. In that year, Dayton annexed Blue Ash into its municipality which has continued to be one of its most populous cities since then. Today, Blue Ash remains an agricultural center with a significant presence in agriculture due to its location on the Scioto River and fertile soil that allows for crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat, fruit trees and vegetables. Blue Ash was founded in 1792 by Joshua Hays. The town served as a market for the surrounding farms and villages until it became an agricultural center after the Erie Canal was completed in 1825. The population of Blue Ash increased from 100 to 1,500 during the 19th century, and development continued through the early 20th century with construction of roads, churches, schools, and other public works. In 1916, Blue Ash became one of five towns in Northwest Ohio annexed by Cleveland.
